Conceptual vs. Memory-Based Questions
The test was designed with a combination of conceptual and memory questions:
- 60% of the questions probed students' conceptual understanding.
- 40% were memorization and direct application.

Numerical Problems
The Physical Chemistry portion contained numerical problems that demanded good conceptual clarity and practice. Experts pointed out that some questions were easy, but others demanded a moderate level of difficulty.
Though CBSE will come up with the authentic answer key later, some coaching institutes and study websites have already given unofficial answer keys so that students may analyze their performance.
CBSE Class 12 Exam Day Guidelines
- Students appearing for the CBSE Class 12 board exam should not miss bringing the admit card to the exam centre.
- Students should be at the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the exam.
- Utilize the extra 15 minutes provided to read the question paper thoroughly.
- Nothing will be allowed into the exam hall other than the admit card.
- Students should not indulge in any unfair activity or malpractice during the examination. It will lead to the cancellation of his/her exams.
