The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the NEET UG 2025 registration on February 7, 2025. The application form is out on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The last to register and pay the fee for NEET UG 2025 exam is March 7, 2025. The application can be conducted in online mode only and candidates must ensure the email address and mobile number and valid.
This year, NEET 2025 exam date is scheuled on May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM. The exam will take place in a single day, in a single shift. Highlights of NEET UG 2025
Eligibility and Admissions: NEET UG 2025 will serve as the gateway for admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BSc Nursing, BVSc, and AH programs across medical colleges. It includes AIIMS and JIPMER among others.
APAAR ID Not Required: NTA has issued an important update in which it stated that APAAR IDs are not required to be used while filling up the application form, making the whole process easier for applicants.

Revised Exam Pattern for NEET UG 2025
The NEET UG 2025 exam pattern has returned to the pre-COVID format with significant changes as follows:
- It is a one-day, one-shift paper, which is a pen-and-paper-based offline examination.
- Total time: 180 minutes, which is three hours.
- The candidates will have to answer all the 180 mandatory questions that will include 45 questions from both Physics and Chemistry and 90 from Biology.
- Section B consisting of optional questions is abolished.
- Each question is worth four marks, and one mark is lost for each wrong answer, totaling 720 marks.
