- College infrastructure is good , campus life is awesome.
- Sport facility are very good with dedicated court for each sports.
Dislikes
- 75 percent attandance criteria is the worst thing.
- Some of professors lecture are so boring to tolerate for 1 hrs.
Remarks :
That factors that influence me most are campus placement, huge campus, good rank , and college exposure. It is national college and labs , classroom and facilities are very good, Teachers are highly qualified.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is little bit tough and fully based on new new industrial requirements skill. Exams are difficult because of time constraints because in mid sem you get only one hour and it is hard to manage.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes , In the 3rd year college company visit in the college itself for intership. Apart from that college professor also provide research internship because the get projects from MHRD and you get good experience.
Placement Experience :
Placement is good , good number of companies visit for campus placement. Average pakage is 1400000 and median pakage is 1100000. More than 250 company visit every year and almost 90 percent students get place.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fee is 144000 it include Tution fee, registration fee , admission fee ,lab fee, library fee ,GUb fee etc. since it is a national college scholarships based on family annual income is provided. If you have a family annual income more than 5 lac then you have to pay the whole fee ,if it is in between 1 lac to 5 lac you get and relaxation of 2/3 of fee and if annual family income is less than 1 lac or sc or at candidate then whole fee is relexed only extracurricular charges that will cost around 15000 only.
Campus Life :
Campus life is best. Since it is a national college so from all part of India people came and you get a chance to learn and know their culture also nits have a huge campus of 625 acr and good infrastructure. It has more than 30 clubs and societies that help in overall development of skills.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel infrastructure is good. Food is just ok you can eat but it not give feel like home. Good internet speed is provided in the hostel. For first year 3 sitting room is provided and in 2nd and 3rd year 2 seater room is given and in final year single room is provided.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
