Remarks :
the lush green campus attracted me. it is spred over 600+ acres with fantastic placements rate of 90-95%. some of the top companies visit her for on campus placements . teh coding cultutre here is excellent.
Course Curriculum Overview :
the faculity is quite helpful and supporting here. the seniros are like a big brother whi guides to a good path. most of the professors are from iits or internationally acclaimed colleges. exams are held twice a semster
Internships Opportunities :
not yet but will be applying for it from next semster. companies give stipend of 20-50k usualyy but there are a lot of opportunities present here. google amazon give hefty amounts of internships every year
Placement Experience :
the college give many on campus placement opportunities and intermnship opportunities . 90-95% students gets palced very year which is impacable. top companies like amazon microsoft visits college every year. highest on campus placement was around 85lpa by atlassian and average around 12-15lpa
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the fee is around 120k for first year for general candidates and around 76k then for 7 sems . st/sc/below 1lpa get complete tution fee wavier and income 1-5 lpa gerts 2/3 tution fee waveier . a one time cation money of 10k is asked and hostel fee is arounf 22.5k which was eralier include by me
Campus Life :
life at campus is really good with the air wuality index always holding at exellent and the beautiful campus with huge sports grounds . the cultural fest incandescens is conducted once a year with some known singers performing in it and technical fest technoesis that hold up some tech stuffs like robowar and robo races.
Hostel Facilities :
hostel rooms are good but are old enough . the food quality of mess is excellent which is not expected in a engineering college. the hostel life is amazing wiht mess and room fee of 22500 per semester

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
