Likes
- Campus is average not very crowded and environment is good.
- College location is at a good place, one can easily get bus or private cars from near college.
Dislikes
- As being a female cleanliness of washroom is very important but college girls washrooms are not very well maintained.
- College do have a canteen but not varities of food available. A student cannot have rich food everyday it is not good for health.
Remarks :
I didn't face any GD also didn't give any admission test. I simply surfed through different college websites. As my marks was not very high so I didn't got any chance in top colleges but after trying to 3-4 colleges I finally got admitted to this college. There's no SC, ST quota available in our college atleast not in my knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I liked commerce in 12th so obviously I'd choose commerce in college. Faculties are better than average, almost all the teachers are helpful and friendly. Teaching methods are good ????. There's no class test taken during class, there are only internal exams and directly after that the semester exam takes place.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't got any internship till now. Our college don't provide any internship or also I didn't try to do any internship of my own. I'm just currently focusing on my studies that's all. Maybe I'll go for any internship in my upcoming third year and also discuss with college faculty.
Placement Experience :
There are no placement offers given by college. Most of the students go for higher studies like MBA or Mcom. My plan is to go for higher studies. I haven't contacted with our seniors so I don't specifically know what they are currently doing.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College first charged 355 rs for semester fees and 10,000 for admission fees. So per semester we have to give rs 355 and every year rs 10,000. So total fee is (355 x 6 + 10,000 x 3) = 32,130. There is no quota system available in our college. We pay semester fees semester wise and rs 10,000 year wise.
Campus Life :
Our college doesn't actually conduct any fest or freshers party which is kind of disappointing. But they conduct an annual sports ceremony every year, I participated once in my 1st year and fun fact I also won a trophy ????. There are no clubs in our college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
