I appeared for the JENPAS UG exam which is arranged by west bengal joint entrance board. So it's basically a competitive exam & you have to clear the required cutoff for respective categories to get admission in this college
This is basically a professional course for 3 years &6 months paid internship . This course is basically desgined for people having interest in labs & it's work..One can join any govt & private companies after this course. For 3 years there are various subjects that are taught... 1st year: Biochemistry , Bacteriology, Clinical &general pathology, Physiology & Anatomy 2nd year: Histopathology & cytopathology, Microbiology &Advanced biochemistry 3rd year: Blood banking &special haematology, biochemistry, Microbiology
Everyone in this course must have to do the 6 months internship where they pays you around 15k in total . You are posted to different departments in the college & hospital..It is basically started after the completion of final year exam
The course BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology in School of Tropical Medicine Kolkata charges 15000 inr per academic year.It is basically a 3 years academic course with 6 months paid internship. The scholarships available are like Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means scholarship which gives you 60k rupees per year for the whole duration of this course.
It's a govt college setup so the infrastructure is of average level..But it is of well air conditioned mostly, there are various canteens available on campus ,medicine store, library , etc are also available. But no playground is actually available here.
I didn't opt for a hostel as I'm a day scholar . But as per i heard the college itself don't have a hostel so people chosses hostel mostly on their own..But as it is in kolkata it is available quite easily.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
