- There are so many departments like lab medicine, bacteriology, cod, haematolgy, histopathology, mycology, helminthology etc.. So good exposure of knowledge is there
- Library is provided with very good quality books..
- College is in a good location and accessible through train, tram, bus, metro etc from my room.
Dislikes
- There is no well managed common room for us..
- No gym is there in our college .. And we do need wifi connection in it..
- We have department like biochemistry that has been so rude and unethical with the students..
Remarks :
The college is good in academic sections... It has really helpful student sections for the help of students.. We have very good faculties and well managed committee in our college.. I didn't do any group discussion and all.. One just have to crack JENPAS UG exam with good marks to get admission in our college.. But we don't have a proper and well managed common room and indoor game facilities that are bad aspects may be..
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course for instant job facilities... It's a technical course.. So we can get into private labs or any other govt labs.. We can also apply for HRB recruitment and central government exams.. Faculties are so good at teaching... We are provided with the lectures of brilliant doctors and professors in our course.. Term exams are taken nearly about Aug-sep each year and it's of moderate difficulty level..
Internships Opportunities :
Internship is very profitable for us... First of all we don't have to go to other college or hospitals for internship.. We complete internship in our own college.. Monthly an amout of 2500 rupees is given to an intern for six months.. Interns do all lab oriented works..
Placement Experience :
There is no placement programme in our college... First you have to pass with a nice percentage and then apply for the private laboratories... One can apply for the vacancies in private college faculties post.. And we can also apply for the contractual as well as permanent jobs under state government or central government.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In the first year during the admission 18100 rupees is needed.. After that in 2nd and 3rd year a year-wise fees of 15000 rupees (total 30000 rupees) is taken from students.. There is no fees compensations on the base of categories of students.. There is SVMCM ( yearly 60000 rs) and Aikyashree ( yearly 30000 rs) scholarship in our course..
Campus Life :
There is only one fest named as NOVATO FIESTA and AUDIEUX for the freshers and farewell programme... It is conducted each year during April month.. Our library is provided with books related to research purposes and medical fields.. Class is taken in GLT and it's decorated with ACs, lights, fans.. Indoor sports events are chess, carrom, quiz and out door sports are football, cricket, badminton etc.. There is page named BMLT STUDENTS UNIT, STM representing us..
Hostel Facilities :
There is no hostel for us... This is a problem many students face every year who are coming from a distant location.. So we have to go to a pg.. I'm currently living in a pg in Hedua, Manicktala... Other students have phs and mess in Dum dum area

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
