Remarks :
The college is situated in the lap of Himalayas.. so weather is very good.. neither too hot not too cold.. siliguri is only 6km away from our college...so if anyone wants to enjoy city life he can also join this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Academics is very good.. facilities are very helpful and friendly.. so if anyone have any doubt he / she can approach to facilitates and they are always ready to help .. frequently exams are also taken to improve accademis.
Internships Opportunities :
No as I am a second professional mbbs student so I am not t be eligible for the internship.. it's only possible if when you pass final professional mbbs exam... After completing internship we can practice as a physician
Placement Experience :
After passing final year we have to serve the people as an intern at our hospital... Each and every one have to attend internship.. for one year.. monthly stipend is 30000 per month.. after completing many of the internship many students join as a housestaff
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As it is a state government run medical college it fees structure is very low..per semester fee is 5000 approximately. So total amount of course fee is 50000.. the hostel fee is negligible and facilitates are good
Campus Life :
The campus life is amezing... There are sports facilities and gym facilities also available here .. our college is culturally very rich.. many music bands also present in our college.. our annual fest plasma is very popular in north east india
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I am a hosteler.. hostel facility is normal like any other state government run medical college.. so don't expect too much.... There are 3 ug boys and girls hostel available.. mess food is avarage.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
