Likes
- In the infrastructure the college is top notch like the csed department is very good and the hostels are great too.
- The campus life is super fun. After the classes get over after 5 pm in the evening everyone comes out and roam in the campus so it's a good environment to be in.
Dislikes
- One thing I dislike is the 8am classes that's a bit hectic sometimes and that class should be shifted then it'll be okay
- There are some faculty that are fully qualified but lack the skill of teaching so that may be a problem if you attend classes
Remarks :
No, there were no tests for this college only criteria was the cutoff of class 12th and the jee score and as per a private college it is the best in North india region and offers great placements and has great infrastructure and is a nice college overall
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course for computer science is very good. Ample of knowledge is given by the faculty and the faculty is very friendly and cooperative and always ready to help. Adding to it is the best library The nava nalanda library. So the course is great too.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I did a research internship in my college itself. It was a month long internship in the cyber security domain and for which I got like 20k rupees for a month and the certificate of completion so overall I had a great experience in the internship
Placement Experience :
The placements and the job opportunities are great all the big companies visit thapar and hire a good amount of students just keep your cgpa 7 and you will be placed. This time meesho came with 32 lacs package and took 2 students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I'm in coe branch and 2lacs50k is the per sem fees like only the education fees so for one year it is 6 lacs .If you choose for hostel facility then another 60 thousand is added into it. Which includes the mess and all other things
Campus Life :
There are a variety of clubs from which the students can choose and enter into the club of their choice. There is a lot to learn in these clubs amd societies. Like for every field there is a designated club or society at thapar which offers great exposure to students.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are the USP of the college unlike other collegea the hostel facilities at thapar are the best apart from the j and h hostel all other hostels are made very beautifully and the mess food is also good as compared to other colleges.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
