College is nice. Facilities are good. College has nice infrastructure. Library of the college is amazing named Nav Nalanda Library. Labs of this college are nice. I chose this college due to its good reputation and placement record. Also it is closer to my home town. There are no group discussions or or interviews or written tests to enter this college.
I choose this course due to my personal interest in electronics. Almost all the faculty members are PhD and they teach well but self study from library is important to score good in exams. Mid semester exams held from Oct 14 to Oct 25 and End semester will be in December. Course is running on right time according to previous year trends of this college.
No I have not opted for any internship yet but students are able to get internship from companies like apple, google, JP MORGAN etc. Both paid and unpaid internship opportunities are available to students. Projects and given to students in 3rd year.
Placements records of the college are nice. Average package of CS and electronics is about 10 to 12 lakh and highest package was about 1.4 crore. CGPA does matter for college placement. Companies like Microsoft, Google do visit. Almost all the students get opportunity for placement but a few get the top notch package. After getting degree I want to be placed in a tech company.
Year wise tuition fees for CS and electronics is 6 lakh and for mechanical and chemical it's a bit lesser. There is ?30,000 admission fees. Scholarships are available on the basis of JEE percentile and CGPA of student in semester exams. Fees for complete course along with hostel and mess charges is ?32,00,000. There is an yearly increment of 10% in tuition fees.
Life at campus is really nice and enjoyable. There is sports facility and ground for cricket, badminton, basketball etc. There is nice greenery in college. Area of campus is good to roam. Small market is there inside campus to get things and enjoy with friends at cafe. Swimming pool is also there. Hostels are also acceptable. Biggest fest of this college is Saturnalia scheduled for next month November. There is a large variety of books and journals available in the library. Classroms are well furnished and fully AC. There are more than 45 student run socities in college which offer growth in different skills. Thapar has LMS(Learning Management System) website and app to provide students notes and ppt of the class.
Hostels of thapar are also good. Hostels are available with both AC and Non AC. Mess food is better than my hostel during JEE preparation. Mess is managed by Sodexo. Hygiene and taste in food are good. Hostel charge is about ?38,000 to 45,000 per semester and mess charges is about ?25,000 per semester. Registration was offline based on JEE percentile.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
