- I like the ambience and the environment and the faculty the students the campus exposure I get here. I love it all. the hostels her are very good. the infrastructure of this college is very fascinating.
- Everything here is good. Faculty are very kind and polite
Dislikes
- The attendance criteria hers is what i dislike. Students having less than 75% are detained in that subject.
- The conduct of fest and the spend on the artist is compromised every year.
Remarks :
My enthusiasm for Mech. Eng. made me choose this college as this college is reputed for good academics and opportunities in Mech. Eng. Grp discussions are conducted here, admission are taken on basis of JEE percentile or 12th board percentage.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of good faculty and environment of this college. Every faculty here is very well qualified and very knowledgeable. The teaching methods of faculty is good and they use more of practical examples.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for any internships till now. Various companies offer stipend and recruit students. A capstone project is offered in the semester to improve the resume of the student. Faculty helps students to complete that capstone project.
Placement Experience :
Placements are available after 3rd year. Major recruiters here are jp morgan, delloite and etc. Highest package is around 1.01 cr and avg is around 15-18 lakhs. Almost 90% willing students get placed. I have plans to do masters after the degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure include Tuition Fees and development fees. The scholarship on admission is provided on the basis of CGPA criteria. The total Fees for my course i.e B.E. Mechanical Engineering is around 25 lakhs including hostel and mess fees. The Fess is increasing every year with a very minimal rate.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is really good. This a good University for campus exposure. The main fest of Thapar is Satunalia and is conducted in the month of November. The library is very well quipped with books. Almost every book related to course is available in the library and the classroom amenities are sufficient. Evey classroom is air conditioned for the students to feel comfortable. Thapar conducts various sports tournaments and the sports center here is well equipped. Students can socialize by joining various clubs and societies here.
Hostel Facilities :
The Hostels here are very well maintained. This college provides a very good hostel experience. There are a total of 7 girls and 9 boys hostels. There are two mess operating in thapar i.e Thapar mess and SOdexo. Majority hostel have Sodexo and the mess food quality is very good. Every thing is hygienic and the workers here are very polite. After admission, student will receive a mail from the dean office regarding the accommodation of hostel including the detailed hostel and mess fee structure. Also there are PGs available just on the back side of Thapar.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
