- The Gym of the college is open to all the students.
- The teacher are really very supportive and helpful.
Dislikes
- The college doesn't have a lift which is quite a challenge for climbing 4th floor every day.
- The college lacks cleanliness and has no decoration.
Remarks :
No entrance exam is required for admission to the college but one must clear the cutoff which is around 100-70 for science and other is 100-50. The main reason for choosing this college was it's faculty as I have heard the department of zoology is very strict and helpful regarding studies.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The main reason for choosing this course was because it provides a lot of job opportunities in various fields such as forest service, zoo services, marine biologist, forensic science, aquaculture, fisheries husbandry and many more. The teacher are really helpful. The main exam are once in each semester which is quite difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship are also available for the students of 6th semester but that is absolutely for the purpose of academic and knowledge enhancement and it doesn't provide any placement. It is mainly hosted by Zoological Survey of India and CU.
Placement Experience :
Campus placement are also available for the students of 6th semester but the job role is not very satisfactory basically it hires for the post such as sales manager or supervisor. Internship program are available.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees of each semester is collected at once before the examination which is around RS 300-400. Taking in consideration the other miscellaneous expenses the fees for BSC is 860INR whereas for BA and BCom is 700 INR.
Campus Life :
City College students union hosts sangrila every year for 5 days in the month of October. Festival such as Holi, independence day and teachers day are also celebrated. Every year annual fest is also held. Scope for playing district level match is also available for sports teams.
Hostel Facilities :
The college hostel is not something that I would recommend keeping in mind that facility it provides. It has quite low accommodation and the cost every month is about Rs 200, food is not of great quality or taste. Nearby PG are also available which costs around 6k a month.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
