- There are a number of reasons to like about the college infrastructure, faculty and campus life. All the essential books and research papers that are required for our examination is given in free from our library which is written after 2 months. The faculty members the eand the subject teachers have a good appreciable approach towards the students who are facing problems in their academic subjects and also in their daily livelyhood and personal problems. The faculty members even take extra classes when it is required or demanded by the students. They take necessary approach to make our studies smooth and also easy but keeping in mind of giving all knowledge is and skills in order to complete the syllabus even they go beyond the syllabus for the practical knowledge. A bunch of festivals and camps occur in our campus which gives and added advantage to improve our intellectual and decision making skills by giving leadership in organising those programs by a proper coordination among all.
- All the programs and camps are organised by the guidance of the organising head, our faculty members, staff and students including seniors and juniors. The leadership side of students can be enhanced through these kinds of activities. Special arrangements are made by our faculty members for our placement to various well renowned companies so that they can come in our campus and take interview to give a chance to the student for internship of 6 month in their company and to give job in their company. The faculty and the campus are made clean with proper hygiene maintaining staff. Cleanliness drive and plantation program is arranged every year to boost the importance of plantation and natures benefit. There is a healthy campus life as there is a lovely friendship between all the seniors and juniors and the Teachers and the staffs of our university.
Dislikes
- In our university we get admission through and ICAR, Neet And Higher Secondary examination for B.Tech Dairy Technology, veterinary and fishery Sciences respectively. The ICAR students take admission very late for their counselling process while West Bengal joint entrance examination students come early for that the first semester instead of 6 months become 8 months and the ICAR and decentralized counselling student face difficulties to cope up with the first semester exam due to shortage of time. Every year 44 student take admission in our DT course but the seating capacity is less so the seating capacity can be increased. There are some rooms which are not properly ventilated and a moisty environment prevails in that room. Necessary steps must be taken to increase the ventilation by including electric fans and air conditioners. Smart board and projectors facility is lacking in this generation of 5G. As it helps the learners to see and visualise that topics which are being discussed.
- B.Tech Dairy Technology (D.T.) is a course that includes practical knowledge and skill with theoretical knowledge. So it's better to give a more focus on practical knowledge of us students. But our circulum is missing that. A more interactive and problem solving attitude of the faculty members can enhance the students problem like in our external examination many questions come from our outside syllabus which is relevant to our previous fifth deans committee syllabus which creates our problem to answer those questions. Our fishery campus is located at chakgaria, our veterinary campus is located at Belgachia and Mohanpur and our dairy campus is located at Mohanpur. For admission purpose and Controller of Examination is located in Belgachia so it create a problem of communicating with all these three locations. Since during our admission and during our completion we have to collect all our certificate and necessary papers from this 33 location Which creates a problem of communicating.
Remarks :
Dairy technology is a course which is having a great future possibilitiesso it becomes a choice to choose these course. The Dairy Technology course is only studied in West Bengal University of animal and fishery Sciences which is only one in my state and also ranks second in terms of imperting quality veterinary education in India as per ICAR. Additionally my home is located 10 km distance from my University. So it's creates win win situation to choose this college naturally. No group discussions or interviews are being faced but an examination which is the written test we have to pass namely WBJEE West Bengal joint entrance examination the more the top ranks the more is the chance of getting admission in the university. In the written test maths , physics and Chemistry MCQ questions are being asked. It is a CBT examination. Students can also get admission through ICAR - Indian Council of agriculture and research examination which is a CBT MCQ physics, chemistry and Mathematics Exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In our course there are 5 division types of subjects like Dairy technology, Dairy Engineering, Dairy business management , Dairy microbiology and Dairy chemistry. So we have all of these three types of subjects in our every semester from 1st semester to the last semester. Like from microbiology we have fundamentals of dairy microbiology in first semester, Introductory to dairy microbiology in second semester, starter cultures and fermented milk product in 4th semester like wise from all other four subjects we have further sub divisions in our Each semester. In every semester we have 6 to 7 types of subjects from all of the five above mentioned subjects. We have to pass all the subjects in each semester. Maximum three subjects are allowed to get supplementary exam more than that are student is given year back. In every subjects we have theoretical and practical classes As given by fifth deans Committee report. The teaching method of the faculty members are very good.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not applied for any internship because internship programs are being organised after our completion of our 6th semester examination. Companies come to our faculty for taking admission to the internship program in their company and student sit in that interview. Till now I haven't completed my 6th semester examination so I cannot sit in that internship interview but I will sit after completion of my 6th semester exam. It depends upon companies to companies whether they will give a stipend to the students but many companies give stipend which ranges from 5000 to 20,000 including the residential charges. Amul, Mother Dairy, Metro Dairy, Arun dairy, Kwallity Walls, Bhagirathi cooperative and vamul cooperative, ITC etc companies and cooperatives come to our university interchangeabeli and take interview. The rules that are offered depends upon our teachers and the company head mainly all kinds of exposure are given to the students which is necessary in their future corporate life.
Placement Experience :
There is a very good placement opportunities and job on opportunities are available in our university. Our faculty members and our ex students who are our seniors make necessary arrangements for our job in one of and all of the renowned companies in the world. Amul,Mother Dairy, Vidya, Mimul and Bhagirathi cooperative, Metro dairy and Itc and also other multinational companies take the students. Many students apply for further studies that is Mtech and PHD, MBA and job options are also available after btech. Every year almost 80% of the students are being placed to the companies though it very each year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For hostellers ?5710 x 8 = ? 45680 /- For dayscholars ?3710 x 8 = ? 29680 /- (since we had have 8 semesters in 4 year multiplied by 8) - so this is our full BTech course and it includes all other fees development fees, lab fees and other compulsory charges during the course completion and there is no fee deduction for SC, ST students in our university. We have also have to pay Rs. 1000 for student union and approx Rs. 500 for other festivals in total. If we clear all our subject exam then we are eligible for 3 kind of scholarship 1. Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship - ?60,000 /- 2. Universities scholarship 3. Oasis scholarship for SC ST and OBC students ? 20,000/- In order to get admission in a University we have to clear West Bengal joint entrance examination and to sit in the counselling process the registration fee is ?500 /- and counselling fee is ? 5000 /- which is refundable and the admission fee is ?10,000/- for dayscholars and ?15,000/- for hostelers.
Campus Life :
The life is very good and healthy at campus. There is a very well balancing social life among our universities students. The infrastructure is will enough to support the education of the students. Necessary laboratory facilities are being given to the students. Vishwakarma puja, Saraswati Puja, reunion program, NSS day, NSS camps focusing on various aspect s of nation, convocation ceremony and freshers party are being organised by our students with the guidance of our faculty members. There is no such clubs or social groups in our university but there is Students Union which is a non political Union. In order to be the member of this union the student Have to become the first or second topper of the class. The head of this union is from the Mtech topper list. All the books and journals and research papers are being given to the student from the libraries. So we don't have to buy we can issue and keep our book for 2 months with ourselves.
Hostel Facilities :
I do not have update for hostel. But I have all necessary information regarding hostel. In each floor of the hostel each year stays. Hotel four floors are available including common room, Games Room and gym. The hostel miss is also available and it includes charges which can be also minimised in case of not residing in the hostel, which can be also stopped by the letter of the provost of the hostel. The foot quality and the menu are being decided by the students. There is a good balance between vegetarian and non vegetarian foods. Students are given full meal vegetarian dishes throughout the year without any charges. In the locality rented rooms and PGS are available.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
