Remarks :
I had come to know about this university /faculty by one of my friends just before the last date of admission. Then I did some research and saw that there is a verse aspect of this course. The seats are limited but the facilities are unlimited in this fee-structure. We took admission by HS marks. You can also take admission through ICAR exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There is no salutation in the field of fisheries. Govt and non-govt jobs are there. This is the main reason for choosing the course. The faculty is oriented with highly knowledgeable, helpful and enough qualified teachers. Exams are conducted here in semesters and mid terms. Mid term exam for 30 marks, end term for 50 marks and 20 for practicals and viva. Cost of study is comparatively very low. Only 3910/semester for day-scholars and 5710/ sem for hostellers. We get SVMCM scholarship provided by the govt and those who have govt job doing parents, they get university scholarships.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven’t applied for this till now because internships are mainly available for the Masters' students. Govt projects offer 40-50k/month salary for internships and fellowships on average for the MFSc scholars.
Placement Experience :
Placements are happened here in the end of the academic year. Every year companies like godrej-agro, IBM etc come here to recruit our students. Also we have the facility to appear for the FEO (fishery extension officer, grade-B) walk-in interview only. Highest salary package is recorded 80lpa and avg 6-8 lpa salary is offered by the recruiters.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is peaceful and joyous. After classes, we play several games like cricket, volleyball, football, table-tennis, carrom etc. We have one annual sports and cultural meet, fresher's farewell programmes and one fest also. 'Uttoron', and 'Unmesh' are the names of the fests. Our library has a wide collection and also it contains many rare books, journals. Hostel is super affordable. Only 300rs/month with spacious rooms and ragging-free environment.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
