- Beautiful campus is the best thing of this collage infrastructure is good , faculty is also okay .
- but the college is mostly about the people you spent your 4 years with.
Dislikes
- The thing which I personally dislike is campus is huge but there is no transport inside the campus. I can keep bikes and cycle but there is no good transport for admin.
- And the other thing is this weather,it can be rain any time of the year .
Remarks :
The reputation and the greenery of the campus. It's a very big and beautiful campus. For getting in this collage you need to crack JEE mains .and then counselling JOSSA and CSAB These are two counselling to get into this collage.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is B.tech and I am doing in Civil engineering,so the classes are from 9-5 pm ,and the professor are chill and very qualified,there will be regular exams , assignment and tests ,you will not gonna get bored there is always some deadline for you.
Internships Opportunities :
Yeah I have done intership under PWD ,there is a lot of companies that offer interships like Flipkart ,Amazon , Deloitte etc. And you can Also go for project under the professor you have to work under them in research work .
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement is ,like there is no any criteria but for say you would have atleast 6.5 cgpa to sit for the Placement., recently Amazon , Flipkart visited and offered a placement to good no. Of students . average package for my course is 7 lpa . And in my branch the placement percentage is 70 percent. My plans as of now to get a job .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is fee waiver according to family income For less than 1 lakh its 10,100 only per semester For more than 5 lakh its 80 ,000 and or below 5 lakh its 39,000 only . And the mess and hostel fees is same for everyone it's 22000 per month .
Campus Life :
Life at college is best ,you will get best time of your life in these 4 years . There are lot of clubs and societies Which is run by Gymkhana or student unions Where you can showcase your talent and learn a lot of new stuff. There is Asia's biggest digital library, don't go for words but yeah there is a huge library. There are two big ground for circket and football,and court for badminton, basketball, volleyball,table tennis,lot of other sports too.
Hostel Facilities :
Living the college life without being at hostel is not possible.and about the mess food it's okay okay "Khane layak h " specially for boys hostel 6 Uska khana best h .and for getting an hostel room you just need to apply while reporting at college. There is room available for everyone taking admission in clg.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
