- Campus Life is good as there are no regulations on when to go out and when not
- Faculty is also good. As far as the teachers I have interacted with, they were all dedicated.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is something I hated here but it's renewing so it's good now
- Launguage is also a problem for me as some teachers prefer their state language
Remarks :
This college has a good faculty and a heavy patient flow in the hospital. So I kept it after the Calcutta medical College. Admission process is quite simple . Bring in the documents pay the fees and you are in.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It's academic is quite good. Teachers are nice dedicated . Exams are done yearly but semester exams are also tough . And conducted strictly. Though the practical are very helpful for practice to do better in professional exam.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship provide a stipend of 30 k which is quite large in comparison to other medical Colleges . And it is compulsory to do it so as to get your medical degree. Everybody gets through this phase with the help of the senior doctors that help them
Placement Experience :
Internship occurs in the hospital which is within 1 km distance from the college. Pg seats are also available here . Although intake in those occurs after neet pg or next whatever it is . Internship as Usual is very hectic due to heavy patient flow.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees for each semester is 5000 approx and for total course it's 40000. There are not much charges for anything. Every year there are 2-3 semesters . Fees can be given late . No much regulation on that too.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is quite free . Though the infrastructure needs to be better and it is redeveloping right now. It has a library and a badminton court and a college ground and some canteens. though I don't like the food here.
Hostel Facilities :
Getting a hostel instantly is tough. But u will get accommodated as allotment is on basis of distance. Hostel food is okay . Hostels are nice. And they are being renovated these days . There are people for washing clothes and cleaning and all

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
