The Mathematics Department of this college is arguably the best Mathematics Department in West Bengal for Hons. Course. There Was A Written MCQ OR LAQ Admission Test Of This College For Every Department Separately Which Makes It Unique And Tough To Crack
Course Curriculum Overview :
My Love For Mathematics Made Me To Choose This Course. Almost All Faculties Are Ph.D. completed, mostly Dr.Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay, arguably one of the best Algebraist Of India Is In The Mathematics Department Of This College. There are Sems Every 3 months and End Sem Exams Every 6 months. The Difficulty Level Of The Exams Are 8.5/10. The Cost To Study In This College Is Very Much Cheap And Hostel Fees Is Only Around 3.5k Every Month. There Are Many Scholarships In This College Like the Inspire Scholarship etc.
Internships Opportunities :
No. There Are Internship For Students from 3rd year Onward and Are Given By The College Only to help students secure their future. The internship has started In This College from this year onwards.
Placement Experience :
Yes, There Are Placements. After Completing The Course I Want Crack Gate Or IIT-JAM to pursue MSC or M.Tech which will make me more Versatile And Sharp For the Future. The Syllabus Set By This College Helps Students To Crack These Kind Of Competitive Exams Very Easily with Nearly 60% of Students Cracking These.
Campus Life :
The Life At The Campus Is Near To Heaven Experience. There Are Common Rooms In Every Hostel(4 hostels) including a Study Room For Separate and Concentrated Studies. The Infrastructure Of This Campus Is Very Much Good Compared To Other Campuses. Hostel Is Must For This College Best The College Is Strictly Residential And There Are Regular Prayers(Morning And Evening) with Lunch Time At 9:30 am and Dinner time at 9 pm. Prayer Is Compulsory For Every Student. There Are NSS and NCC Courses Also. There Are Bhavan Jayantis(Hostel Fests) Every Year. Sports Events Are Organised By The College And Hostel Every Month. Hostel Food Quality is 6/10

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
