A good college for engineering
Likes
- I like most the way of teaching by faculty members. I also like campus because the campus is eco friendly and students friendly .
- There are two blocks in college first is south block second is north block both are good.
Dislikes
- There is nothing for dislike but sometimes the quality of food is getting low
- The indoor swimming pool is not open properly.
Remarks :
First of all this college is affiliate with ik Gujral punjab technical university, for admission we don't face type of group discussion, interviews, pr written test. We get direct admission in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My honest opinion on the course curriculum, academic and faculties is these are best in this college , the curriculum is student friendly, faculties are student friendly, academic are student friendly. To be honest we don't have any issue .
Internships Opportunities :
Baba banda Singh bahadur engineering college offers students for internship in tear 1 companies like Mahindra, tcs, etc. Internship is compulsory for all students of BCA and B.tech. when we get internship in any company we get a certificate from the company and this is good fir student to get placement
Placement Experience :
Baba banda Singh bahadur engineering college offers training and placements to students of every branches. Tear 1 companies visited in this college for placements and job opportunities for students. Per year 80% students get job via college placements
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Baba banda Singh bahadur engineering college offers various type of courses like B.tech ( cse, ME, civil, agriculture, Ece, EE etc) , BCA, BBA, MBA etc. All courses fees are different. The total fee of BCA is 315000 including hostel and other charges.
Campus Life :
The life in college campus is really fantastic. College have a auditorium for events and cultural programs for students. College have a indoor swimming pool, a big football stadium and cricket ground for students. College have two tennis court, two basket ball court, a canteen and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
There are four boys hostel and two girls hostel in this college. The infrastructure of hostel is good for students. Each hostel have separate mess for students where food is good. The food quality is good in hostel mess. In this hostel mess non veg is not allowed only veg is allowed due to nearby gurdwara sahib. In girls hostel have a separate campus for girls. For girls have extra safety in girls hostel

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
