- Professors are well versed with their subjects and teach really well with utmost care.
- The campus environment is one of the best with friendly seniors, staff and management authorities ready to help.
- Due attention is given to Extra Curriculars, as students get to grow beyond studies as well.
Dislikes
- A lot of construction work going on almost all the time, leading to a lot of noise in the campus, distracting from studies.
- All lab facilities are not provided to every student, especially certain machines are restricted only for later semesters.
Remarks :
The thing which made me choose the college mainly was its reputation for my department. The facilities are unmatched and impeccable and the teachers and professors are well versed with extra curricylars being taken into consideration as well. Admission is based solely on merit from marks of class 12.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Academics are always the number one priority in the college. I chose this course basically for its relevance in the present day and my interest is also sparked in and peaks in the same. It is the best for myself and future. No entrance exam was taken and it was based on class 12 marks.
Placement Experience :
Placements from the college are truly commendable and appreciable. Students get internships from earlier semesters only. Big companies visit the campus at regularly to pick students for working in their companies, which provide them with ample opportunities to grow and learn more as individuals, and also earn to help.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees per semester is around 30000. It comes to around 60000 per year so overall it is quite affordable, especially given how high it is for the same course in other colleges. Scholarships are provided based on merit after clearing certain pre requisites.
Campus Life :
There are quite a few fests and events held in the college throughout the year. It is very well balanced as students get adequate education and also get to learn more about extra curriculars and they can grow as individuals, gain skills relevant in the job market. Social groups and clubs are present as well, which are run by the students, hitting many important points.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
