I am A medical technology enthusiast so I chose the degree. To pursue the degree I had to give a state level test called as (CET) and after I chose the mentioned degree in counselling. In the test you will be asked 60 questions from Physics Chemistry Maths each and you get negative mark for every wrong answer. Based on your score you get the rank and accordingly you are given a course on your preferences. And it is option in counselling if you want to switch the course also rank determines your chances of getting desired courses
Being a medical technology enthusiast it was the only college in territory providing Biomedical engineering course so i end up joining the course in college Qualifications of faculty was above par as they are selected by number of exams under university rules and regulations. The teaching method was good and updated. The exams per semester are divided into two the mid term and semester exam. The midterm was conducted in college by college administration which was of normal level however the semester exam was conducted by university and the difficulty level was hard.
I opted for internship via myslef and joined a company named TBS which is among the major biomedical equipment companies assisting both government and private hospitals in the region. I joined as trainee in the field to get first hand knowledge about the system and tech. The projects were IOT based and mainly every machine that runs in medical wards of hospitals and tasks were to understand the working ,the structure and point out the defects and try to resolve them (if there were any)
College provides internships to get experience in tech department other than that you have to find placements and job opportunity by yourself. I did internship in some hospitals under good engineers and gained experience and later found a good job. I don't know much about other people but the normal I get to hear from friends is around 30 40k a month and also lesser than that which is not good to be honest. The percentage should be above 70 lesser than that the chances are pretty slim. My plans after degree : To progress in the real tech world with knowledge and experience behind me
The admission fee is around 12000 and covers overall all additional charges like identity cards sports etc and during my time the semester fee was 8000 per semester so 16000 a year. Now it is being increased by 20% . So for 8 semesters that's your full degree you will pay around 60 to 70 thousand. And exam fee starts with mandatory 800 and then 300 per subject you have in semester
The life at campus was vibrant with different students from different parts of state togather. There were fests organised in April may and September October about science and technology and other diversity related programs. The library had almost all books available relating to courses and journal which were highest rated around the globe were also available time to te The sports tournaments for boys and girls were also conducted with wide range of students competing into different categories. Social groups that were present was for cleanliness drives and helping poor students and families in and around college
The hostel was under construction during my time and the rooms were available in locality providing both options self cook and clean and Pg as well. The rooms were available in affordable prices and for registration a form was given by landlords for police verification etc. The locality was good , A tourist based locality as college is near Mansbal lake which is some of the busiest tourism based lake in the country and it was quite remarkable to spend time in and around fresh waterbody and serene place
For placement University conducted job fair for the students where Banks, Private sector industries HR's also visited to take interview and thoroughly conducted the interview and make selection of the deserving students.
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro, infuses, bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.
quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.
Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.
Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
