The college is well known for its good academic programs, particularly in the Computer Science and Engineering Department, and a record of high placement rates. The faculties are really good, and the campus provides excellent resources, including modern labs and extensive library facilities. Admission Process: Students can get admission in the M.Tech course by the GATE examination or the PGET examination. If they get qualified in the exam, then with a valid rank card, they can get admission in the college.
I chose the course because after completing my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering, I wanted to pursue Masters on the same stream to gain more knowledge and dive into research field. Each and every faculty is highly qualified, almost everyone is a PHD. Their teaching process is also really good, which can be really understood easily by the students. There are four internal theory exams and two internal practical exams held in each semester. They are not too much difficult for the students who attend classes regularly. They can easily crack the exam.
Each company that comes for placement program, also offers internships to the first year Masters students too. College provides No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the internship period, so that students who got the internship can easily work there.
To be eligible for the campus placements, students are generally required to have a minimum CGPA of 8 with no active backlogs. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte visit the campus every year offering roles in different fields. The highest package recorded this year was 9.5 LPA by TCS for Software Developer role. The average package ranges around 5LPA. Almost 95% students from last year got placed in different companies through the placement program.
The fees are 18000 per semester approximately for the Master of Technology program in Computer Science and Engineering department. (Tuition fees, Caution fees, Library fees etc. all are included) 1st Semester Fees: Tuition Fees+Lab Fees+Library Fees = 15091 Registration Fees = 2850 2nd, 3rd and 4th Semester Fees: 18000 each Hostel Fees: 2000 per month. The fees structure for each and every student is same.
Annual Fest and Tech Fest both are conducted every year in December and August respectively. Many books and journals are available in the library, which helps in both study and research purposes. Classrooms are really good and comfortable. Annual Sports also take place every year in January.
I didn’t opt for a Hostel, I go to the college from my house daily by train. But my friends are there and they told me that everything is really good there. A variety of food items are available and their quality is really good. There are options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The hostels are really affordable too. They cost ?2000 per month including meals. So they are really affordable.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
