The university claims to be the best placement university in North East, but I didn't find any such big brands collaborating with the university for placements. There were average private companies or startups that were actually collaborating with them. The admission didn't require any test or cutoff as such. Just deposit the security fees, and they'll give you a seat.
I chose this course because it was my mother's wish. Faculties were all post graduate, some were even PhD holders. Some of them were very good teachers giving all their time and efforts to explain the subject to their students. But some of them were average, fresh professors. They just used to explain the concept that's it, no more explanations. And they used to give everything to us as home assessment. The term exams were on time, at the frequency of every 6 months. Due to the Covid days, the classes were online, and the exams were also taken online. Difficulty level was average to hard.
No internships that provides stipend was provided by the university. They used to held Job Fair, which only consisted of Full-time job, no such internships. Also, I have never worked as an intern that provides stipend.
Eligibility for placements was graduation. Some of them required post-graduation too. Byju's, Lulu, etc. were some of the companies that collaborated with the University. Approx 20-25% of the candidates were used to get placements. I didn't opt for any placements from the university. I looked up for jobs online through job portals.
Per semester, the cost was 60,000, i.e. , per year the fees was 1,20,000. Security fees was 10,000 , which was later refunded upon completion of the course. I was ineligible for the scholarship program, so I didn't apply. But some of my batchmates were eligible, they applied and got the promised amount. There were no extra lab fees or examination fees, no extra charges. Also there was no such reservation system.
Name of the college fest was Attitude, and they were conducted during March or April of every year. There was a library of the university, almost all the books for every course were available. We can read, or if want to take it to home, we could take it after making a library card. There were all sorts of grounds for various sports, basketball court, volleyball court, also a swimming pool in K block of the University. As I was not involved with any cultural groups, therefore I don't know much about their clubs or website.
I didn't opt for college hostel. I took PG outside the college campus in Panikhaiti. The food was not good, and also the cook were very rude, I guess not PGs, but mine was very rude. You can rent a room also if you want, or you can opt for hostel.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
