- College Campus is good and mostly i like the Library service which is the only positive side of our college
- It sounds bad but i like the poor system of Attendance.Low attendence won't bother you which helps to study at home.There is no pressure by college.
Dislikes
- Mostly i dislike the teaching faculty.They take lots of money for class in admission but they don't provide it.Its been over 1 year i am now in 2nd year and i got only 3 classes in Honours since joining the college.
- Campus life is nothing cause as there is no classes to attend most of the good students don't have to come.We have to study on our own at home or via coaching .
Remarks :
I choosed this college cause it's there isn't many options for us.This subject isn't available in other colleges.And mostly i had chosen this cause it don't have any college pressure which gives u a perfect time to get prepared for upcoming compatative exams for Joining better college for MSC.There is no interview or written exams needed for admission your Hs result is more than enough.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I Choosed this course cause i like math alot and Statistics is a growing subject with less compition in market.Teaching method in college is too poor.I barely get any classes even in our Honours subject.Exam difficulty levels afe average if u have studied well then its easy to score over 90% or Grade A+
Internships Opportunities :
Honestly to say Govt colleges don't have good opportunities when it comes to internship. But u can do internship in different colleges or universities like i am currently doing internship for Boston University.We have to collect Datas through survey in different areas via travelling.
Placement Experience :
Criteria for job in this field required Mostly Msc in Statistics and if u have a course certificate of Programming then it will boost your Achievements.Jobs are mostly like Data analysis and Data science. Average package starts from 6 lakh per year and highest package would be around 24 lakh per year if u get job abroad. As the subject is new to all getting placements chances are 100% if u only have Bsc degree u can still get a job in india but with less salary. My plans are after Bsc i am gonna qualify for ISI or IIT Bombay through jam exam then gonna complete my MStat or Msc degree there and after that i am planning to complete my PHD in Statistics.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly cost is like 6000 which is taken as per semester enrollment fees like 2000 and after semester readmission fees which is like 1500.As there is 2 semester so the overall fees is 2*(2000+1500).There is Swami Vivekananda scholarship for us based on our cgpa we can apply.
Campus Life :
Only Freshers fest is celebrated here which happened after 3/4 months of admission per year. Library has a good collection of books and their availability is great. Sport or social clubs are literally closed.None shows that much interest so they don't organise anything.
Hostel Facilities :
I don't live in hostel.But i have heard from my friends that hostel food quality is average but hostel rooms are very poor.i once visited it and its really dirty. Only Boys with Obc certificate can apply for hostel in college.Others have to take appartment or private hostels to live.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
