- The thing i liked about this college is that the campus is really big so we can enjoy our college life as much as we can and sit their playing music and singing during off periods.
- Our college faculty's teaching methods is really good and unique which i think the most important part of a college, specially our hod ma'am is the best among them all.
Dislikes
- The official staffs are very slow at their work which delays a lot of important things, and sometimes they take unnecessary breaks which lead to a long line the nest day where we have to stand for hours to get done any work.
- Sometimes our professors don't come to the classes with informing us in advance, which is a very unprofessional thing to do, where the students who comes very far from the college they face many problems.
Remarks :
Our college don't take any written exams or interviews to get addmission in our college, but they make lists of name, and according to their HS marks they get their names on the list thus they get admission in the college. My main goal was to get addmission for the subject journalism and mass communication in Ashutosh college but i didn't get my name on their list but then I researched a lot and i got to know that APC college has the best faculty for this subject and then i got admission in this college. And after studying for 2.5 years here i can really say that this college is actually really good for this subject i learnt a lot from here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this subject because i wanted to become a content writer, so after i get to know that this college is the 2nd best college for JMC studies i got admission here. The teaching staffs are well qualified and holds god degrees, and their teaching methods us very unique and interesting. Our college's exam happens in a semester system where in every 6 month we need to give our semester exam, its marks depends on the subject you are learning, in my case it's 50 marks for every paper. If you understand the concept, and study a little you can easily get 7 points above marks. And on a scale of 10 the difficulty level of the exam are like 6.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internship, as i wanter to learn everything first and i thought that it can affect my studies, but some of my friends got good stipend internships from various companies. Our college makes sure that their students are ready for any type of things in future, also they make us ready for giving thoughtful interviews which i appreciate the most its boosted my confidence really high.

APC College offers placement and internship opportunities to help students build their careers. The college only provide placement to the students who are actually very meritorious and proves their eligibility. The dedicated placement cell provides career guidance, interview preparation, and skill development sessions to ensure students are job-ready. APC College supports students in exploring their career goals, whether through employment or entrepreneurial ventures, making it a great stepping stone for professional growth. My personal plan after completing the degree is studying for Film studies from Bishwabharati and actually my college prepared me a lot for this.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The yearly fees for APC College, Madhyamgram, are quite affordable, amounting to ?6,000, including admission fee: 250 development fee: 650 Lab fee: 720 and others. This makes the college accessible for students from various financial backgrounds. The other department students also gives the same fees which sometimes varies from their subject and practical classes. Our college also provide mony to to the students who perform great in semester examinations and they get 5000rs. Not only that our college support various government schemes scholarships providing opportunities to students who are in need, and want to study more. But every scholarship is only on students merit basis atleast 60% for humanities and 70% for science is required to get the govt scholarships.
Campus Life :
APC College boasts a spacious campus with a lush green environment and plenty of trees, which create a serene atmosphere for studying. The infrastructure includes air-conditioned practical rooms, libreries, cafeteria, Gym, sports ground, computer rooms, ensuring comfortable environment for studying. Also if any students is interested in sports activities or extracurricular activities they can participate in it and we have special teachers for that. And with a valid pass you can enter in library to study in a ease. Our college has a great social life, every student are friendly and sometimes we gather at the ground and play music to create the best memories of college life. Moreover, our department organises GEONORA, where any student can participate including other college students, it's a inter college compitition of Poster making, short film making, photography, amd other different things. Its a real fun activity to do in our college.
Hostel Facilities :
Apc College's hostel is really good with clean rooms and study rooms. They have both boy's and girl's hostel. The surrounding area is student-friendly, with numerous private hostels, PG accommodations, and rented rooms available at affordable rates. This provides students with flexibility to choose options that suit their budgets and preferences. The food quality in the nearby hostels and PGs is generally good, with many offering homely and hygienic meals. Students can also explore a variety of messes in the locality that serve delicious and affordable food, ensuring they feel at home while focusing on their studies. The college itself ensures an easy and hassle-free registration process during admissions, making it convenient for students to settle in quickly. With affordable living options, a safe and supportive locality, and the availability of good-quality food, students at APC College enjoy a comfortable and enriching experience both inside and outside the campus.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
