- Teachers can be very rude and ask personal questions even after stating that it's personal.
- The gym equipments are as old as time and not very well maintained
Remarks :
This is one of the few college that offers campus placements Students have gotten highest 32 lpa placements here as a freshie. But the college doesn't help with any internships and the trainings are average. The students can get admission here by taking WBJEE or JEE MAINS there is no cutoff. The students can get admission just by appearing in the entrance exam. I got admitted through all india counselling josaa
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is from MAKAUT University and in the beginning of the semester the course curriculum is given to students by the subject professors. The faculty has professors with P.hd they follow the university curriculum and for technical subjects they provide Presentation with details on the topics Each semester has 4 internal or continuous assessments CA1 is PPT presentation, CA2 is report writing, CA3 is a test with both short and long answering questions and CA4 is a CBT test with MCQs (no negative marks)
Placement Experience :
Students must maintain atleast 7 plus cgpa to be able to sit for campus placements. The companies which visit are Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant, Dell, McAfee, TCS, Intel etc the highest package till date is 51 lpa from Microsoft. 70% plus gets placed every year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In the time of Admission- 4500.00rs for form 85,000.00rs including 1st semester and admission fees 9,400.00rs for uniform. 2nd Semester fees- 75,000.00rs. 3rd Semester fees- 65,000.00rs. 4th Semester fees- 65,000.00rs. 5th Semester fees- 66,000.00rs 6th Semester fees- 66,000.00rs 7th Semester fees- 64,000.00rs 8th Semester fees- 64,000.00rs No Cheque or cash accepted All semester fees are paid in advance. Students must pay fees for the next sem before the exam form fillup of the semester exams else exam form isn't issued by college. No detailed Money receipt is given just the total amount of fees is written in the digital bill stamped by college. The exam form fillup fees are 1,200.00rs per semester paid in university portal. Every year the fees increase by atleast 10,000.00 rs. Students can apply for student credit card or loan for fee payment.
Campus Life :
The campus itself is very beautiful the entrance is covered by Jacaranda trees that flowers in spring and looks like purple cherry blossom right after entering the gate by the road you can see a small Stream which is filled with water throughout summers to spring and the whole campus is in the middle of a tea garden and has a lot of greenary and the Darjeeling hills and Kurseong is visible from the campus So alot of great hangout spots throughout the campus. The college fest is done in between March and April which has tech fest, sports events, treasure hunt, Singing competition, Cosplay, Dance competition and as finale Mr and Ms SIT which goes on for a week. The external fest is organised in external venues like Ramada, Lemontree where atleast 2 singers are called one small and one big like this year Ash king was there to perform in our fest

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
