When i was in my 12th i heard it from my seniors, they also took admission from this college and passed out, i briefly asked them about their college experience and overall review, they said it is one of the best government college in entire North eastern region. And i also reasearched on my own in the internet.
As i am from commerce background, i persuaded my 12th with commerce stream, so i took admission in BCOM HONS, Faculties are good, they are highly qualified and also very much supportive to the students, they slove our dobuts regarding examination and also provide us career counseling sessions. They also teach us real world knowledge on how to get a high paying job. Term exams are done before every semester exams with moderate difficulty level.
Our college also have placement cell, students with good grades in semester are eligible for placements, many companies came every year in order to recruit the students as an employee for there organisation. Companies provide decent packages as they are hiring a fresher. I am planning for government exams after my graduation.
Every year college charges 5500 rs from students, and overall course fees is around 16500 rs. College also provide scholarship facilities to those students those are economically weaker, if the income of the students family is not exceeding 2 lakhs annually then there's no fees will be collected from that particular student.
Social life of the college is good, DJ nights, Events, Fest are happening in every month, to encourage the students to participate and for enjoyment. Our college library is too good, it provide every type of books from nobels to compititive exam preperation books, it also provide previous year question papers to students in order to analyse the paper to score good in exams. Every year college host an college week program where sports activities are held students participate in the sports and co-curriculam activities.
I have not opted for hostel but yaa hostel facilities are decent not so good but not so bad also, food quality is decent. But hostel facilities are too affordable its only charges 10000 rs for the whole year for its accomodation and 2500 rs every month for hostel mess. If you are not interested to took admission in college hostel then you can find many PG and rent nearby college campus.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
