You have to qualify joint entrance examination to get admission in nits. The college is located in a beautiful location the placement is good and the peers are of same mindset so you get benifits from this that's why I have chosen this college
I have chosen electronics and communication engineering as it is going to have a boom in India in next 3-4 years . The chip manufacturing and semiconductor is going to be next big thing in India . The academic here were very fast the first semester ended in 4 months which felt quite fast. The exams are easy . The faculties here are very nice and all are qualified as it is NIT.
No I haven't opted for internship yet I am first year student right now. You need to uskill yourself in first year and than the college arranges internship in second and third year's . I can't comment much of internship scenario but I have heard from senior they are good.
The placement of nit srinagar is quite decent this year senior are started to getting placed I have heard package of 19 lpa and 17 lpa from some of my known senior the placement will get only Better from here last year was not a good year for placement in any college our college placement went down last year but this year they are back stronger.
The annual fees varies according to different financial conditions of the students for under 1 lakh there is no tuition fees only mess hostel and some other fees . For me under 1 lakh it is around 96000 per year
There is a event happening every week just you need to be active in college and participate in everything. There are clubs in college which are student driven which are active throughout the year but you need to clear interview and rounds to join them.
There are 5 sharing hostel rooms in nit srinagar the prize of hostel was 8000 per semester. The hostels are quite old but there is a new mega hostel building being constructed right now inside the campus.
For placement University conducted job fair for the students where Banks, Private sector industries HR's also visited to take interview and thoroughly conducted the interview and make selection of the deserving students.
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro, infuses, bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.
quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.
Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.
Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
