Remarks :
I choose this college because it is an IIT. IITs has good placement record, connections, facilities, excellent college fests and life. To take admission in IITs, candidate must got good rank in jee advanced and must pass jee main for attempt jee advanced exam. Cut-off of both exams depends on difficulty level of paper and score of candidates. I prepared for these exams by online from pw batch. Bad aspects of IIT is its competitive nature, difficult to take admission, expensive nature.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum at IIT Mandi is well-structured and focuses on practical applications, which influenced my decision to choose this course. It prepares students for real-world challenges. Exams are conducted two times in one semester. Ther difficulty level of both exams is easy to moderate. IIT Mandi has highly qualified and expert faculty. They help and support to the students for great achievements in their life.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships opportunities are also excellent. Many of the companies recruit students for projects and internships. Most of the companies belongs to tech research sector. Some of the start-up such as zomato, ola, phonepay or core companies ISRO, Qualcomm etc. also recruit students for internships. These companies gives stipend of 80 thousand or 50 thousand per month depends on company and role offered by company.projects related to data science, web development, cybersecurity etc. given by these companies. Tasks in cybersecurity projects is develope a tool to evaluate the strength of the password. Design a personal portfolio website, develop a chatbot, analyze sales data to find trends are the some of the tasks in these fields.
Placement Experience :
There is a career and placement cell which work hardly and dedicatelly for students to provide them placements and internships. For placement, student must get average cg above 7 and student don't have any interdisciplinary action to the duration of course. Microsoft, Google, Adobe, intel, Samsung and many more companies recruit students from campus. The highest package is 71 LPA and average is 12 to 13 LPA offered IIT Mandi. Most of the companies recruit for tech fields such as software engineer, web developer, data analyst etc. This year (2024) almost 60 to 70 percent students have placed in both core and non core companies. My plan after graduation is to get a high paying job in tech field.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My tuition fees is 12400 per year. Hostel and mess charges is 19200 and 30720rupees per year respectively for all students of btech. Hospital cover charges is 1500 rupees per student for one year. Tuition fees for gen/ews students is 212400 rupees per year having total family annual income greater than 5 lakh. If annual income is less than 1 lakh, there is full concession in tuition fees. There is 66% concession if incomes is between 1 lakh to 3 lakh and 33% concession if income lies between 3 to 5 lakh.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is amazing. Many fests are celebrated there such as exodia(annual cultural fest) in month of April, expecto (tech fest) in the month of March and rann neethi etc. The central library of IIT Mandi has books collection over than 50000 including print and electronic. Classrooms of IIT Mandi has good sitting structure, air conditioner, digital projectors, wi-fi connection etc. Campus has great sports playground of hockey, cricket, basketball, badminton, squad, vollyball situated between beautiful mountains. Also there is great facilities for extracurricular activities, there is different type of cultural, riding and tech clubs, Some of them are robotronics, music, dance, painting, argeeks, E-cell, mtb etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel at IIT Mandi are in excellent condition. Excellent facilities provides IIT to their hostel students. Wifi, indoor games, cleaned rooms and toilets, heater, microwave, washing machine, heater, microwave and many more things are available in every hostel for students. Registration process is online at the website of IIT Mandi. Hostel charge is 19200 rupees per year. It is affordable and less comparatively if we live outside the campus at a room or pg.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs
