Likes
- Infrastructure, Campus Life and the very support seniors. The faculties are also very helpful .
- The infrastructure has academic buildings and hostels , in addition, there are many shops like stationary, barber , general store.
Dislikes
- I don't like going to the main city again and again for anything that is not available in the campus stores. The main city is almost 1 hour distance .
- The campus is still under construction, so many things are still not in use .
Remarks :
Yeah , for admission we need to qualify JEE Advanced exam with a nice rank , no need for any interview, all you need to do is just get a nice rank. And I guarantee you that IIT Mandi is a nice college , the atmosphere is too nice , the campus is safe for girls and the Academics are also very nice.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is Btech in Mathematics and Computing, the curriculum is nice , like it's a mixture of both mathematics and computer courses , Mathematics is dominant for Computer courses . But Overall it's nice ,in first year , every branch students has same subjects. The variation starts from second year. Faculties here are very nice , they are really helpful. All you need to do is approach them and tell them your problem.
Internships Opportunities :
Right now , I have not opted for any internship. But will try after gaining some skills . As from third year , college on itself provides us internship on the basis of our own skills. But in order to avail the intership, you need to meet their requirements.
Placement Experience :
As of now , I am in first year , so I don't have any internship. But for seniors, they get nice placement and internship. Many seniors went abroad and many worked for big companies like Google , amazon. But for the worst case , if no employability is offered , and if you have interest in research then you can get stipend for working on the campus as our college is very good for research and innovation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So , At the time of counselling, in Josaa counselling, we have to first pay 30,000 rupees after first round allotment if we want to reserve that seat , (we can get refund if we don't want seat) and this amount will deduct in the final fee amount that is almost 1,20,000 per semester , and in total there are 8 semester, so the total fees for the graduation is almost 960000
Campus Life :
The campus life is like heaven , the campus is between the mountains . The air is too pure , and there is everything inside the campus that a student needs for daily life , like canteens, all types of shops like barber , convenient, cafes and Supermarket.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are nice , the rooms are good . There are different mess , general mess (both veg and non veg) , veg mess and satvik mess (no onion garlic) . Food is nice in all mess and you have to just pay the fees , the hostel and mess fees is included in it and they will provide you with your hostel room.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs
