Remarks :
As a govt. college, offers a vary affordable fees structure, making it an attractive option for students from economically weaker backgrounds. While some faculty members are dedicated the overall quality og teaching can be inconsistent. generally candidates must have completed their higher secondary exam or diploma course. Admission to most engineering colleges is based on the performance in entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college offers undergraduate programs in engineering, including disciplines like CSE, CE, ECE, EE and ME. The curriculum is generally in line with what is prescribed by the MAKAUT. However, the quality of teaching can be inconsistent. While some faculty members are experienced and dedicated, they are occasional gaps in terms of teaching quality, particularly for courses that are theory heavy or less practical in nature.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies and the internship offered at our college with companies like tcs, amazon, microsoft, paypal, wipro, cognizant, and others provide students valuable hands on experiance in their chosen fields. The projects assigned are well organized and task clarify is a major strength of the internship.
Placement Experience :
The placement scenario is still developing. While a few students manage to secure jobs in companies like amazon, microsoft, paypal, wipro etc. The highest package is 15 LPA and The lowest packege is 4LPA offered in our college. maximum 90% students getting placement in our college. my plans after getting the degree to get a job of a reputed company.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
CGEC is a government college and the fees structure is affordable as compare to private colleges. the year wise fees i paid was 12000 include tuition fees, registration fees, development fees, labs fees and the other compulsory fee. and the admission fees i was paid 13000. i got OASIS Scholarship and the amount i got 15000.
Campus Life :
CGEC is fairy limited compared to larger, more established institutions. The college hosts a few technical and cultural events throughout the year. The infrastructure is adequate, but it still has room improvement. The campus basic facilities like classrooms, laboratories, and a library, but they are not modern or well equipped as those in top tier engineering college. Sports in our colleges play a crucial role in fostering a balanced and holistic development of students, complementing their academic life.
Hostel Facilities :
Being a government run engineering college, the hostel fees are quite affordable compared ton private colleges. the hostel provides a safe and secure environment for students. The hostel offers essential facilities like electricity, water supply, wi-fi access. The hostel mess serves regular meals, typically lunch and dinner. while the food quality might not be gourmet, it is considered decent and nutritious for more students.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
