- The college provides a lot of exposure to the students who are into performing arts. There are numerous competitions held and events held which allow the students to showcase their skills and talent. This provides the students a platform to show what they have. This also leads to a lot of new opportunities inside and outside the college for the students.
- The college has got good infrastructure. Though major part of the college has the old infrastructure as it is one of the heritage buildings of Kolkata, it gives a very good ambience for the students.
Remarks :
The College has a good reputation in the country as well as it hold a high NIRF rank. The College campus is very prestigious as it holds so much history. Apart from that the faculty is very good as well as all other co-curricular activities such as sports, music, events etc. The crowd in the college is very good and friendly. The admission process for all the UG courses(except BMS and Mass Comm.) is through the score of Class 12. Incase of BMS and MASS Communication, a written exam is held and the combined marks of the written exam and
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it deals mainly with the real life aspects of businesses, companies etc. and I have interests in knowing more about how businesses and corporates work. This course covers a lot about that, of course not everything but quite a lot about it. The faculty is very qualified and they are selected on the basis of standardized tests such as NET as well as on the basis of their education qualifications. The teaching method consists of both pdfs and presentations as well as through proper book guides. The exams are always held in their proper time and schedule. There has never been a delay of exams. The difficulty level of the exams vary from moderate to difficult. The exams have never been very easy for any student whether it be a topper or an average student.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not yet opted for internships through the college placement cell. All the internships I have applied for are through other internship applications and websites available for students. But, to the best of my knowledge, the college provides good and valuable internships to the students.
Placement Experience :
I have not yet opted for any placements so I do not have any prior experience about that placements which the college placement cell provides. But from the reviews of the seniors who have gone through the placement phases, it sounds like the college provides good placement opportunities with a good salary package. The companies in which the college provides placement to the students are very reputed companies of the country as well as there are many MNCs.

Campus Life :
The biggest fest of the college is Xavotsav which is held every year in the first week of February or last week of January. This is a fest which has sometimes been inter-college and sometimes intra-college. There are a lot of competitions held in the fest. Apart from that a lot of big and famous artists are brought to perform. There are other mini fests and competitions as well which take place throughout the year. These are conducted by different societies in the college. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors and screens, as well as some classrooms have got air conditioning in them. The library is very well equipped and has a lot of articles, resources and books available. It has got online access as well which allows the students and faculty members to access online articles and contents as well. A lot of sports events are held in the college such as different competitions as well as sports day is held every year in the college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
