- The college infrastructure is amazing. Each of the lecture theatres are provided with AC, foldable chair and projector of it's own.
- The faculties are really amazing. Part of the hospital is inside the campus for better learning.
Dislikes
- The main hospital is some distance away from the main campus.
- The roads are disturbed at some places and lamp posts are not working at some points.
Remarks :
I got admission in this college by NEET UG examination. The college is situated in a very beautiful place of Purulia surrounded by ayodhya range. The campus is clean and well maintained. The admission process is generally after getting allotment and the student help desk is very helpful in the whole process. They guide all along the admission procedure.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is based upon CBME curriculum under NMC. The academic part of the college is outstanding. All the faculties are available 24×7. They provide us with all the essential study materials through their own devloped ppts. We have to appear for 9 term exams and 4 professional examinations. Difficulty level of the exams are moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for internship till now.As this a professional course, rotatory internship is mandatory after completing the course where we get paid. After that we get registration and we can apply at other hospitals.
Placement Experience :
We have to do a year of rotatory internship after completing the course. The intership is paid. Everyone is divided in groups and posted in different departments accordingly. We also have community postings for developing communication. One have to pass final professional examination to be eligible for the internship. After completing this one can go for housestaffship or Rural postings or NEET PG for postgraduation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
According to the recent review yearly fee is Rs.10000 . There are many scholarships with according criteria like vivekananda scholarship for minors etc. Tuition fees are around Rs.9000, Hostel fees are around Rs.144 and rest is caution fee. I have no clear cut idea if there is any reduction based on categories.
Campus Life :
The campus life is amazing. We have our annual fest CADUCEUS occuring in every December of the year . We have our freshers welcome programme NEO FIESTA occuring in every August-september of the year. We have a well maintained library with different books from Indian and foreign author, we also have different magazines of various research publications. The library is spacious with reading rooms. Each of the classrooms are well furnished with foldable chair and projector. We have several clubs like cultural club, sports club, chess club, research clubs etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are well furnished. Each room has capacity of 3 people. Each of them are provided with a bed, chair-table, almirah. One can apply for hostel during admission. Hostel charge is Rs.144 annually.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
