- *The infrastructure is really large and has a beautiful scenery surrounding. *Faculties are really helpful. *Campus Life is awesome with friends.
- *a lot of trees are there to decorate the surrounding. *A lot of open area there. *Building are really as needed.
Dislikes
- Only thing to dislike was the locality over there..a lot of quarrels are happening all the time.
- We have faced some political problems also when we go for a fest.
Remarks :
I have been reading in this college for 3 years and I really have to say that the environment of this college is really wonderful.a lot of friendly student are there in the college.the surroundings and the environment of the college is also really good.i am happy to be a part of this college.we have to admit in this college by giving the NEET Exam ....cut off of last year was 652 above.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I really want to become a doctor from the previous and that's why I chose this course.a lot of faculties are there in the college.among them most of the faculties has completed their PhD.Exam held two times in a year in the sequence of internal followed by final.i am a obc so I get scholarship from svmcm of rs 60000 every year.
Internships Opportunities :
I have opted two internship till now.i got two job offers with the stipend of 40000 each.they told me to work on the respiratory project and I did that quite well.the next internship will be held on November this year.
Placement Experience :
It is a government college so we get a benifit more than the private ones.job availability is good after the course.at least 75%of students get placed in different hospitals and nursing homes.many medical companies also visited there and offers job.
Campus Life :
I live in a campus there and a large playground was there with a library with lots of books.. available Book are enough for us... annual program also held there ...there is a group named festlia in Facebook run by us.the food quality of canteen is avarage.but we are managing quite good day by day.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.

Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
