- The Main Thing I dislike about the technology campus is - It has 3 campuses , which are very far from each other.One is in salt lake another two are in razabajar and in college street. Too much hectic to go from one campus to another.For approval of anything application,We need to go to three different campuses.
- For placement scenario,We need to increase our placement quality OVERALL. AND MOREOVER,there should be techFest and other extra curricular clubs in our campus, which I feel we must make nature,dance, singing etc. clubs for it.
Remarks :
There were many factors to choose cu as my alma mater.The first one is...THE ROI INVESTMENT. Second one is , it's a government college,so,many perks & importance of tag you know.Besides,all of these,CU has produced numerous prodigy alumni in this world like SN bose,SC bose,meghnad saha etc. I had to gove an entrance exam called WBJEE,By qualifying this and Fa urther counselling,I got admitted to this university As UR candidate.Though ,I had to wait till decentralised counselling second callup round.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen this course to be a successful programmer through their rigorous teaching lectures. Mostly faculty are from either IIT graduated or foreign institute graduated. Most of them teaches really well through their dictation method of pedagogy. The term exams are timely as of now .We have given mid sem exam of 1st semester.They are okish, not that much difficult.But,Marks giving by teachers are very strict here in CU particularly.So,Try to make sure to write to the point in term exams here.
Internships Opportunities :
I have got internship in Web development company as a react js frontend developer. I had to make some animation 3D website using react,next js etc.I have been paid 30k inr per month for several months.It is a web3 company named ChainLink.My JD was - software developer.I have got experience letter from the internship as well .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We have to give 500 inr per month as academic fees & 300 inr per month as lab fees.There are some Athletic fees , magazine fees & all which costs 5 rs per month each , except health home aid which costs 2 rs per month. For scholarship there are Oasis scholarship for category students like obc ,sc & st. Otherwise,We have SVMCM scholarship which gives us 60k inr per year. Which has basic criteria of 60% aggregate in Madhyamik & H.S.There is some criteria of cgpa for further renewal of this svmcm scholarship.
Campus Life :
There is no fest like cultural or technical as such in technology campus of cu. Yes,there is a library in technology campus ,Calcutta University which costs 200 inr yearly for library card.There are many books including fictional ,non fictional, technical books in this library. Truly,there is not as such any extracurricular activities in our campus,we are more focused to our further research studies or placements in mncS & startups or making startups. There is no club in our campus actually,Student Union we have .
Hostel Facilities :
Yes,I got a hostel.We are given 2 times food a day.The food quality is ok ok. We had to fillup hostel form then submitted it to the technology campus secretary office,after that in razabajar campus then college street campus.They roll out hostel seats by seeing Distance from college mainly.At least 60 km from campus, student's location they check for.This year they increased seats to 400 from 220 . In case ,you didn't get hostel just because of your location,You can opt for pg which is just outside the campus of our technology College.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
