When I was going through the college reviews and all, i preferred Techno India University for some of the reasons, like it is in main town which helps me commute easily, Being in a corporate area I have my chance of getting great networks, You can also get great PGs in 2-3 kilometer of radius, which is really really great and you can go to College from PG in mere 10 rupees. The college doesnt have any lengthy admission process, All i had to do is submit the documents NO upgradation letter and Seat acceptance letter. You can take admission in Techno India University through exams like JEE,WBJEE or Techno India University's direct exam. Its really easy to prepare so don't take that much stress
The Course curriculum of Techno India University is really really great and this is because in West Bengal, Techno India University has the most updated syllabus as compared to other colleges inn West Bengal. This is one of the reasons that attracted me to Techno India University. The student to teacher ratio is 80:1 which is quite awesome if you compare it to other colleges. The teachers use simulations models and everything to teach you but some of them are a little addicted to using their native language so you have to keep reminding them to use Hindi/English. We also have two Internal exams followed by one End semester Exam, you can also expect 1-2 quizzes in between but dont worry you will get plenty of time for it. Some faculties can be annoying sometimes, but that is little obvious, we can get the faculty changed by contacting routine manager and Co-Ordinator
I have opted for some internships off campus as well as on campus I did get opportunities in getting hired for web developer and Android Development but due to the extreme workload in those internships i had to reject it. I got part in AICTE internships, even though it was not paid i did get to learn really really great stuff. I learnt a little about Web3 and Blockchain. I am currently making my own personal project which i will launch real soon.
The placements start from 6th semester and you can get hired if you have no backs, have cleared them all and are having a really great performannce. Rest it depends on the recruiter and your skills to acquire job but yes college gets some of the great companies like Amazon,AWS, Hyland etc to the placements. I have some seniors in prestigious companies who passed out of Techno India University and did not get fired during the Lockdown period. Also the college focuses on investing student's mind in Entrepreneurship by making Entrepreneurship and Skill Development a mandatory subject. The highest package of Techno India University is 25 Lakhs in 2021, and the average package of the The University is 2.5 Lakhs per year. Being a business minded guy I right now am focusing on getting my startups ready to go and flourish it properly. So that I can keep pushing on my own.
Techno India University charges a sum of 684000+(semester fees) for four years in BTech CSE degree in 2024 During the admission, we have to pay 5000 as seat acceptance fee through WBJEE portal, after that for admission we have to pay 84,000 , From the following semester we have to pay 85000 each semester, as the college doesn't have any hostel being in a corporate area so there is no hostel fees. We have to pay 2000 rupees each semester as exam fees so that sums it up to the total of 87000 per semester. Also for welcome kit (which contains: Bag , Blazer cloth, Shirt cloth, Pant cloth, Two T Shirts and a Tie) you have to pay 5000 rupees. This sums it all
We have several fests in the college we have been here for two months and till now we got to witness sports events , scavenger hunt , orientations , GDG sessions , freshers , jammings , Ethnic day during Durga Puja , and many more. The college is really great and it has such great clubs for events , music , gaming , sports , fashion , Google development , Book reading and many more , Talking about books, there is really great collection of books in library , we can read it in the reading room. Also the college provides all the books required for semester Exams. All the clubs are run by Students and you can enter them by giving auditions.
The university is in Corporate area that's why it does not have any hostels or anything. but you can take a private PG nearby or like in Salt Lake and stuff. The food quality of mess is not bad, in my mess(Royal PG) the mess food is upto the mark because it tastes normal, neither too fancy nor too light. The rooms and all depend on you, you can get a double sharing room in 7500 rupees per month which includes the mess and everything. They give you Almirah ,Attached Washroom and a balcony for just 7500. (It can differ PG to PG)
I do not have any idea abt hostel i just filled ir because the web is forcing me to and about internship and package theres nothing college gives you come on it’s not engineering college it’s a law college they do not provide much but the basic other things you gotta look out for yourself
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
