- The faculty is the best and the air conditioned classes are life saviours in summer season as lot colleges in Kolkata don’t provide acs in classrooms
Dislikes
- The infrastructure and campus life could have been and lot better and the cafeteria is a mess it needs to be improved
Remarks :
I got admission during the covid so i was selected on the basis of my 10 and 12 marks there was no written or oral exams conducted The admission process is quite easy you just need to score more than 75% in your 12 exams
Course Curriculum Overview :
As im pursuing a professional course side wise and i thought I would be easy to complete it and course was affordable too All the professors are highly qualified and really knowledgeable , kind and helpful This college falls under Calcutta university and falls its curriculum so its conducted semester wise
Internships Opportunities :
No I didn’t opted for internship as i m currently pursuing a professional course but according to some of my classmates who have opted for internships they got internships in sales area more than in finance area
Placement Experience :
The college as a dedicated placement cell for the students most of the placement come in the final year and have basic criteria for being placed all the big comes come like kpmg , deloitee, ey phone pe etc 10-20 % students get placed
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees is 50000 and for the whole course 150000 and its not increasing Some students opted for scholarships given by west Bengal government for the native of west Bengal which drops tha fees a lot There is no merit cum needed for scholarships Overall my college provides a affordable fee structure
Campus Life :
The library is average but it does contain all the studying stuff required all around the year for all the branches There sports competitions held once in a year Small events are held all around the year and students are equally excited for these events Social life in college is not that great
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is not provided by the college however the building next to college is pg so lots of students opt for that pg and as the college is in prime location of Kolkata lots of places near by are safe and quiet affordable

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
