When I started for searching the colleges, firstly I decided my course- Political Science Honours and then looked for colleges. I first checked the NIRF Ranking, enquired about Hindu College's website thoroughly and read reviews on various reliable websites, youtube and teachers, parents, seniors and fellow mates about the same. Once, I was clear with all the queries, I decided to go for Hindu College. CUET is the admission process and for admission into political science honours in Hindu College, the cut off is 800/800 for general category. There is no Group Discussion, only written tests. I studied NCERT thorughly.
My interest aligns with the political science and hence i decided to pursue graduation in it. Faculties are top-notch and use distinct methods for teaching, they are available to help us at every point of time. Each semester have end semester exams and are designed at University level.
There are two cells- DISHA (the placement cell) and the internship cell. Both aim to provide placement after completing the course. Their profile are available on the Linkedin platform, along with the packaged mentioned.
Hindu college has distinct fee structure for every course and every semester. The fee structure for the B.A. Honours Political Science is Rs.25,500 for general category in 2023 for first two semesters. It has to be noted that this fees increases every year. There is scholarship named Rajeev Bhargava scholarship, conducted after entering into college.
Mecca- the biggest fest of Hindu College is conducted among february and may. Suruchi is the diwali mela conducted very year. Library is availabe in the campus along with sports complex, basketball and volleyball court. There are more than 30 societies in our college in every field.
Hostel's food is quiet edible and menu is given to us beforehand. Registration is done via website. The environment of hostel is very friendly surrounded by intellectual family. From common room to badminton court, all facilities are available.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
