Likes
- Campus Life is quite enjoyable as there are many shops like burger shop , tea shop , Maggie shop , juice corners etc . Canteen is quite good and affordable and hygienic too .
- Infrastructure is very basic yet reliable. There are separate department building for separate courses , we also have a paramedical wing which comprises of all types of laboratries . Classrooms are well lighted are large . They also have AC facilities. Clean water and seperate washrooms are available in each floor of my department of the college
Dislikes
- Some classrooms which are smaller do not have AC facilities and larger buildings like HMCT block do not have lift too . One Lift is only present at the engineering block
- Hostel food is something that needs to be improved. No doubt menu is very good but the taste of food isn't much appreciable. Also the hostel timings are too early so students can not roam in the campus as well in the night time
Remarks :
I chose this college mainly because of affordability , and it's near to my home place . As well as the management promised placements so it seemed a good decision. There's no interview or written test taken to take admission in this college. One can take direct admission or through CUET entrance exam . Cut off mainly goes above 70% for this college . One can also take admission via PMSSS process
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our college comes under IKJ PTU and follows it's syllabus only . This year our college has become autonomous. Faculties are very education with the minimum qualification of masters . There are also PHd teachers in our college and all the teachers have a teaching experience of more than 5 years . There are 3 exams which are conducted each semester which includes 2 mid term tests and one final exam . The difficulty level is quite moderate . Specifically speaking for AOTT course , the syllabus is quite easy and has more practical work . Teachers teach in both online and offline modes . Extra sessions are conducted and sometimes guest lectures are also conducted to explain certain topics through experts
Internships Opportunities :
I've haven't opted for any internship yet but it will be available after completion of 2nd year . The highest package offered was 30 lakh in B TECH course . In internship, we will be told to manage the operation theatre and anesthesia equipment and the minimum stipend to expected should be around atleast rs 20000+ for our tasks to be performed.
Placement Experience :
Our college has its placement cell which is regularly working towards the employment of students. one has to be attentive for upcoming placements in order to prepare for the interview. For our course , the college has tie ups with many hospitals inside and outside amritsar . Companies like wipro , flipkart, birla group , tata etc are few recruiters and each company recruits more than 30 students each year . Hospital tie ups include NANDA hospital, ivy hospital etc. I hope that I'll be getting placement from the college itself
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees per semester that I pay is 31000 approximately and hostel charges are 24000 approx which includes mess charges too . At the time of administration, I had to pay 10,000 ruppees in advance as registration for this college but as for this session , students are told to pay 18000 in advance registering in hostel and college. There are no extra laboratory fees . Uniform charges are 3000. Ruppees which is one time payment and uniform includes a shirt , a pant , a tie , and a blazer . If a person want to buy lab coat from college , it would cost 500 extra . There are no extra scholarship programs from the college itself but student can avail scholarship from PMS scheme of j&k and punjab . Also , the course fees vary for different courses. And there is increment each year in fees for every course like for our course, fees has been increased by 2000 for each semester.
Campus Life :
Several competitions , fests and celebrations are being held almost every month . In sports , horse riding club , global football premiere league, table tenis competition, cricket matches , basketball, volleyball and badminton are quite important. Various technical quizzes and games , debates etc are also being conducted in every department which is quite interesting. The most awaited fest is UDAAN which comprises of 2 day event . First day is of Shristi , in which students from other college and schools come to perform and there is cash prizes for each winner. Second day is the day of star night in which a Punjabi singer is invited to perform . In both the days , there are several stalls of food , games , competitions etc which seems fun . Departmental activities are being held each Wednesday for interaction within the department between teachers and students and competitions are held too to increase the student's interest .
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is quite good in terms of its affordability and condition. We get a spacious room shared by 4 people ( this year students are getting 5 seater hostel room ). We have an attached washroom which is quite spacious and has geyser and washbasin facility. We also have an attached balcony with our room . In furniture , we get a bed , a table and a good almirah . Hostel mess is very hygienic and hostel food is just average. We get three time meals and evening tea . We also have a large garden in front of our hostel . As compared to the facilities we are getting , hostel is very affordable

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
