The main factor for me choosing the institute was its beautiful infrastructure and strict study environment, unlike other universities. Here teachers teach you with more seriousness and that too with their handmade notes. The other factor was that I don't belong to a very financially stable family, so the college was very supportive in this aspect. When I joined it was the COVID period so there were no such test criteria, I guess even not now there are such criteria for admission, but yes if you have a good percentage in 12th then you will surely get scholarship benefits for the first semester.
Just like any other aspiring student for a good career, I also chose Btech CSE, looking at good placement reviews I have heard from some pass-out students for the college. But I felt later the placement is okayish, not so great but still good enough to get a basic level pay and internships. Here every faculty member is either a graduate or doctorate. The study environment I felt is good enough to clear your exams with ease as teachers put efforts into teaching you with personal experience and handmade notes. Still practical focus is a little less than expected but again as compared to past years, the college is improving itself every year by taking feedback from its students and even achieved NAAC A+ grade 2 years back. There are 2 Mid Sem tests conducted by the college, which if studied seriously helps to cover the whole syllabus before the final exams very easily. There is no such fee hike policy, whatever is discussed initially you have to pay that much every semester wise.
Yeah, I have done an internship but off campus, I was searching for a role in UI/UX Design but wasn't able to get such a role opportunity in college placement season. My friends on the other hand were able to get into an internship at a stipend of around 10k-15k. The internships my classmates mostly got into were in Gurgaon, Delhi, or Chandigarh side. Two of my friends are also placed in that internship.
The placement season starts mostly in Feb to March and many companies visit our college for Final and Pre Final Year students. However, I felt the ratio for tech and nontech companies is unbalanced as I have mostly seen companies approaching this college for Non-Tech students. Some companies visited our college as Wipro, Flipkart, VenueMonk, Muthoot Fincorp, JIO, Housing companies, Mobilite, Apptunixe, Codeblocks, etc. The package values provided are up till now which I have seen is from 3lpa to 5lpa, though the highest package value is around 12 LPA in our college.
In between many small fests like Basant fests, Lohri celebrations happen on various occasions. Also, many sports events include GPL: Global Premier League for cricket, GFL: Global Football League, Badminton League, Gymnastics, Weight Lifting, Annual Meets, etc such kind of events happen. Apart from that every once a week departmental activity also takes place to have fun and learn new things as well. Farewell and Freshers are organised with full enthusiasm and many Guest Lectures are also conducted. Our main fest of college takes place mostly in Oct or Nov which is UDAAN where many tech and nontech activities take place for many colleges and Star night happens where they call mostly Punjabi singers to grace the event. In between also some Punjabi artists visit our college for their movie or album promotions. Various food joints for Coffee, Juice Place, Burger Hub, and Canteen are available for students. Also industrial visits takes place in between semesters.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
