I have admitted through WBJEE. This is a normal PCM based entrance exam similar to JEE, pattern is different. To be honest if you don't get any government college, this college is good enough and far better than other private colleges under WBJEE. Placements are good enough. If you don't get your desired branch, there is a chance to change the department depending on the results of 1st year. You need minimum 8.5 in 1st year to apply in branch change. The college is good enough and fees are comparatively much lower than other colleges.
I always wished to do engineering in core branches, so after some reasearch I have chosen Chemical Engineering. Qualification of the faculties in our department is very promising. In other departments also faculties are well qualified. Apart from semester exam we regularly had our class tests upon finishing a chapter which will be added as internal marks in average. Difficulty level is normal and depends on professors.
No I haven't opted for any internship but as far I know from seniors most of them have done their internship from prestigious institutes like IITs, DRDO, CSIR etc. Professors also help in getting a good intership by their referral.
Eligibility criteria is set by different recruiters. Placement opportunities are pretty good in our college. Highest package is around 20 lakhs and average package is 8 lakhs. The highest package is not very high but average and no of students placed are very good. As I am in a core branch, I would like to go for higher studies after graduation. Our college also encourages students for higher studies.
Every year we have 2 semester and we have to pay around 70000/- per semester. While admission you have to pay 1 lakh while admission (this includes fees for 1st semester)There is no special fees for SC,ST or OBC. But if you have TFW (Tution Fee Waiver, family income<2.5 lakhs) certificate, you should pay 42,000/- while admission, and 9000/- per semester.
Campus Life is good enough. Apart from most of the private colleges our college don't have any uniform. There is no ragging in the campus. There are several clubs like dance, music, sports, debate, drama, tech, science and many other clubs. We have our inter department sports around in February-March, and we have our fests mainly at September. There are 3 grounds to play for. We also have facility for archery. We have table tennis court, tennis court, cricket nets and some other things. There is canteen where you can have different types of foods. Our campus is not that big, but pleasant enough.
I don't stay in hostel. Our college only provide hostels for girls. But out side the campus there is several PG for boys. As far I know about the hostel from some of my female friends, the hostels are affordable. And if we talk about the food, it is as it is we know about the hostel foods, but they have variety. But you have to pay for 5 months together.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
