- Experienced faculties, whether and natural surroundings out there
- Classrooms are well equipped and comfortable for winters.
Dislikes
- Hostel are not spacious enough specially the 8 seater rooms are hectic
- Internet facility is not good and non dependable
Remarks :
National Institute Technology Srinagar takes admission in Btech on the basis of JEE Mains score and cutoffs are different for different branches and streams admissions are taken by JOSAA and CSAB councelling. No interview GD/PI is done. This is one of the oldest NIT's and that made me to choose this college according to my ranking.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am from electrical engineering department this is one of the oldest department in the campus and faculties in the department are very knowledgeable which made me choose this course. Most of the faculties are post doctoral.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes currently I am doing internship at Steel authority of India Limited, Bhilai, Chattisgarh.This is not a stipend base internship as it is a PSU. But many companies offer stipend base internship in our college such as Cummins India, Oracle, Reliance etc.
Placement Experience :
Different companies that visit the campus have different eligibility criteria accordingly. Oracle, Oyo, HPCl, Airtel, Tata steels, Ashoka Leyland are some of the companies that visited for recruitment this year. Average package is about 8.5 lac.Almost 40- 50 percent of students have been placed till now.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For General/OBC-NCL/EWS and SC/ST/PWD (Income above 5 lac) Institution fee is 62500, 2000 Institute development fee, 1000 library fee, 700 laboratory fee, 1300 internet fee, 1000 examination fee, 500 industrial training fee, 1000 sports fee, 1000 placement fee, 500 group insurance fee, 500 medical and health care facility, 1000 student welfare fee (total 73000) For General/OBC-NCL/EWS (income between 1 to 5 lac) tution fee reduces to 20833 else every fee remains same (total 31333) For General/OBC-NCL/EWS (income below 1 lac) tution fee reduces to zero else every fee remains same.
Campus Life :
Our college campus is called one of the most beautiful college campus in india surrounded by the Himalayas and world famous dal lake. Life at campus is very good more close to nature. For a good social life there many academic and extracurricular clubs such as sargam, robonox etc. Campus has a library which mainly has academy related books only.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel and mess facilities are compulsory for non local students. Hostel and mess fees are already included at the time of physical reporting. Food quality of mess is average. Usually breakfast is good.

For placement University conducted job fair for the students where Banks, Private sector industries HR's also visited to take interview and thoroughly conducted the interview and make selection of the deserving students.

Placement Experience :
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Placement Experience :
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

Course Curriculum Overview :
quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.
Review of SSM college
Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
