- Mostly I like the college 's location which is in the paradise of the Earth 💗... Infrastructure of the college is also excellent... Faculties are also highly qualified and Campus life is awesome 😍❤️❤️

- There is nothing to dislike much about the college...Some of the faculties are Strict but that's how professors are built to be...
Remarks :
As my rank was not very good in JEE MAINS (80000) and I was in search of a govt. College which my family could afford was only NIT SRINAGAR and I also wanted to explore new places and Kashmir was one of them... I got admission there through JEE MAINS... The college is located on the paradise of the Earth i.e. Srinagar. Dal lake is behind our college and in winters , it is no other than a hill station...What a wonderful place it is!!?????? ?? Only the thing is You have to take care of yourself in winters and Study there properly and Develop new Skills like Coding , Communication, etc. Just don't get into Religious protests and Don't indulge into street fights with J&K students. It's a great advice from my side.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am in Metallurgy Department and this branch is quite easy as compared to other branches. In reality, I chose this course as I was getting this branch only according to my rank but I am happy with this branch as I get time to explore other things in my life and work upon my skills.All the faculties in this Department are very friendly and supportive. Only the Strict faculties are Irfan Wani and Aravi mam but they will also support you if you study their subject properly and be attentive in their classes. All the faculties in the MME department have done Ph.D in their respective departments from renowned institutes like NIT and IIT and their teaching methods are also awesome ???? Our exams are conducted in two phases each semester i.e. Mid term and End term .The schedule is very hectic at the time of end term because of practical, assignments ,etc.The difficulty level of these exams are easy to Moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
In my college, there is no as much internship opportunities. Most of the students find internship themselves only .They contact their Seniors or Professors for Internships or through several websites...
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria to sit in the placement varies from company to company. But if you manage to secure 8 CGPA , You are safe and you can sit in any company of your Department... The few recruiters visiting for the campus placements mainly for MME department are JSW , Vedanta , Reliance, etc. Highest package offered was 36.50 lpa and Median was 12 lpa for CSE department. Highest package offered was 13.90 lpa and Median package was 6.75 lpa for MME Department. Almost 75 % of students get placed every year. I am thinking of doing M.Tech from IIT after my degree.

There is an option of Scholarship also from the Central govt. i.e. National Scholarship Portal. It is mostly given to 1st year Students.You can apply in this scholarship at the end of 1st semester itself... As NIT is a govt. College, the fees is not continuosly increasing.
Campus Life :
Life at Nit campus is awesome. The campus is of 67 acres in which you can roam around with friends and obviously with whom you are thinking???????? Every Year either of the two fests are conducted in the college. One is Rang - e- Chinar which is conducted at the time of November and the main fest of this college is Techvaganza in which you can show your technical skills, conducted at the same time only. Library is equipped with comfortable chairs and there are a lot of books to read and study if you are a book worm... If you are interested in Sports and extracurricular activities, there is a lot to explore here . I am in Sargam club as I am interested in Singing. There are many clubs in the college run by students themselves. Like you can join Semicolon if you are interested in Coding or you can join Dhaatu Mitra which is for MME students and you can join Gymkhaana also if you are interested in Photography, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality in the hostel Mess is good but not much delicious than Mum's hand made food????. There is a lot of variety in the Mess food rather you have to depend upon College canteen to satisfy your taste. Hostel and Mess is allotted to you at the time of admission itself.

Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Placement Experience :
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
