Remarks :
Gupta college of Technological sciences is first private pharmacy college in west Bengal . As it is the oldest one , the faculty of this college is well experienced in their field . Each year many students of this college get good rank in GPAT exam and well established in their field .also student get good package after course completion
Course Curriculum Overview :
B.pharm is a versatile course . You can opt out for higher studies , industry job , medical representative as well as Drug inspector after passing the course . In GCTS, For each subjects , experienced faculties are available . They took class regularly , clear doubts whenever you go to them , take assesment on regular basis , guide us during practical classes . There are 4 continuous assesment ( theory ) and 2 practical continuous assesment ( practical ) is taken in every semester apart from the main exam . Question is moderate level , comes only from course syllabus
Internships Opportunities :
No internship are offered . Rather than 150 hrs hospital training and 1 month industrial training is mandatory to get the degree certificates . Students complete their hospital training in superspeciality hospital and college sent students to Gluconate healthcare for their industrial training
Placement Experience :
After 7th semester , student become eligible for campus placements . Cipla , Macleod , Dr. Reddy visited campus for on campus hiring with around 3 lakh initial packages. Most of the student opted for M.pharm admission by clearing gpat exam . Around 70% student get placements
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees for the course is 4,08,000 . ( Approx 50k per semester ) . Swami vivekananda scholarship provided by the west bengal goverment (Rs 60k yearly ) is approved by our college . Apart from these , for economically weaker students TFW scheme is available ( 4k per semester ) . No stipend is given during the course curriculum
Campus Life :
Tech fest "Panacea" is organised in each year in the month of may by 3rd year student . Apart from that freshers party , bijaya samillani , Doljatra , saraswati puja , viswakarma puja , Phire dekha ( student reunion) is held on timely throughout the year . Annual sports is happen in march month where students engaged in different sports activities . Music club , IIC & Ecell , photography club , Dance club are notably mention about social groups.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is not very good . Boys hostel is around 1km from the college campus and girl hostel is located inside campus . Fees around 6-7k per month excluding food . Most student prefer PGs as they are low in cost with much greater ammenities .
Interview Experience :
A student can get admitted into this college either passing WBJEE or JEE Main exam . 85% of total student capacity get admitted through wbjee exam and rest intake is done through Jee main exam . After counselling process in online mode , student submit their documents and required fees and get admitted in the college . No interview is taken for this purpose

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
