- I like beautiful campus view and its outside beautiful places. There is dal Lake surrounding the campus and mountains behind the college in winter more beautify the college.Its infrastructure is good and a mega hostel for boys and mega auditorium is under Construction. Most good this is the helpful and supportive faculties which encourages students in academics and extra curricular activities as well as.
- Kashmir is heaven on earth. This can makes true in studying in NIT Srinagar. In winter, Snowfall makes its most beautiful in the world . Full moon night in these winters makes its real heaven. Campus life is also beautiful.
Dislikes
- I disliked about college is protests inside and outside the college occured due to religious beliefs and local and non locals protest makes its more harsh. These protests affects upcoming placement companies in the college campus which is not good. It's usually one or two protests evry semester can happen due to conflict of local and non locals students.
Remarks :
National institute of technology Srinagar is one of the NITs in india in Which admission is based on JEE MAINS exam rank. There no any interview for this college. Courses preference in my college depends on ranks of JEE MAINS EXAM. I chose this college due to One of NITs and I found my branch preference in this college. Seat allocation in this college is done by JOSAA and CSAB counseling processes. For General students computer science cutoff around 26000 to 30000. And last for metallurgical branch above 1 lac rank. It's cutoff of 2024 Round 2 can be see on CSAB site category wise.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I belong to Electrical engineering branch which is considered best branch of my college after CSE so I chose this course over other colleges and branches. In first year of course, there are same subjects for all the courses in first and second semester. In my first semester, there was nice faculties who are helpful and supportive. Mathes faculties was not permanent but temporary faculties are arranged for maths 1st year. Almost all are having doctorate degree from recognised institute like top IITs. physics teacher Dr. M.Z. Ansari is PhD holder from IIT DELHI, machanics madam Dr. Insha wani from IIT JAMMU, environmental studies faculty Dr. Ravi Kumar got PhD from IIT Roorkee etc. They helps in academics as well as in other curriculum activities and supportive in nature. There are two exams in a semester: one is mid term of 26 marks and end term of 50 marks and its conducted on time and its difficulty level is moderate. Generally questions are asked from class notes and discussed topic
Internships Opportunities :
I does not opt any intership till now but there is good opportunities of intership from top IITs and NITs. I also got offers from many internship programs. Many students are doing internship from top colleges now. It can give best review about this after any intership.
Placement Experience :
There are good placement records of NIT Srinagar. There is 44 lpa is highest offered package this year of CS branch. Average package of upper branches are 9.45 lac to 11 lac and for lower braches it's vary from 7 to 8.5 lac per annum. Top companies like HPCL BEL OIL BPCL EIL GAIL IOCL CRC, Amazon, Samsung, cheg, IBM, Google visited every year. Sometimes, harsh weather and protests outside the college affects placements. Every year 80 to 85 % get placements. Lower braches like chemical, civil, matellurgical engineering placement rates are low as usual in other colleges. Many students prepare for higher studies and examination like GATE, CAT etc. and persuing thier masters and PhD further. My plans to prepare for GATE examination and persue masters in electrical engineering from top IITs. Usually students with cgpa 7.5 above are preferred by companies mostly for interviews.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee Structure of My college is as same as other NITs of India. For General candidates having no any reservation and OBC candidates having annual income more than 5 lac pay full fee of 73,000 including all examination fee, security fee, tution fee etc. and 21000 for mess and 8,000 for hostel rent pay per semester. And Students of OBC-NCL and General EWS having annual income less than 5 lac and above 1 lac pay two third of actual fee and full hostel and mess fee. And OBC - NCL and EWS candidate having annual income less than 1 lac does not pay any tution fee but pay only mess and hostel fee. And Candidates of category SC/ST also pay only mess and hostel fee. Mess Fee can be increase to mess menu decided by students but normally it's 21000 only per semester.
Campus Life :
It's is considered most beautiful campus of NITs in India. In winters, Snowfall makes its more beautiful. Beautiful infrastructure and scenery around the college makes college life beautiful. In night time, Students can walking in campus. Only 1st year students hostles have clossing time 11:00 pm. Library opens from morning 9 o'clock to night 12 o'clock where students can study and do there work peacefully. There are many books and journals related to courses, technologies, artificial intelligence etc. which can be issued using library id card. Classrooms are well wifi connected and digital board arrangements. There in college mains sports are Cricket, bedminton, tennis , volleyball, basketball and football. Cricket team of my College is second best of All NITs. There are Many clubs like TORUS, AISPIRE which promotes technical and AI related talents and runs by students also. Techvaganza and Rang-E-Chinar are main tech fest and cultural fest of NIT Srinagar.
Hostel Facilities :
I am Hosteller. There is attached mess with every hostle. There are mainly 5 boys hostels and seperate for every year course students and one for Post graduate students. And each hostel has its own mess and menu is decided by mess representatives of students. Hostel and mess are alloted at starting of semester which registration of new semester and fee paid using online form filling. Food quality is average and good at special occasions. Three times in a day meal is provided. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. In Dinner there is non- vegaterian food at alternate days for students who are non vegetarian and vegetarian for all other students. Rice with Daal or Chana in evening lunch and dinner. Tea is included morning breakfast and evening snacks. Mess Fee for all students is 21000 per semester which is payable. There are hostel room with 5 students in one for 1st and 2nd year students with fan and wifi connections. Good performer are alloted single bed rooms in next year's.

Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
