- VERY modern and college is surrounded by trees and has a central garden
- Campus life is great has many shops to eat around and canteen.
Dislikes
- The intime is 8:30pm is very bad and classes are far away from hostel.
- The guards are strict and are everywhere in campus. Mess does not have any non veg option.
Remarks :
the college NIRF ranking is 23rd all over India. The placements are decent and faculty is well knowledge. The admissions are based on your 12th marks and jee percentile both. there are about three counselling sessions in which students can take admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Thapar itself is a deemed university and it develops its own course curriculum which is well managed. All faculties are phd and have many research projects going on. There are mid term exam and end term exams in which there is sessionals of 10 marks or 15 marks and lab evalutions
Internships Opportunities :
Many Biotech companies comes for internship and offer 15k to 20k per month. The roles they offer as QA,QC or research associates . companies make a CG cut of about 8 cgpa and takes GD round before interview.
Placement Experience :
The placements are good for cse students but decent for biotech dept. Thapar has placement cell which helps in getting placed in companies and training centre which helps in mock interviews. Average package is around 10 lac per year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the fee per semester is 219300. it gets increase by 10 percent every year registeration fees is 25000 and development fee is 45000. the scholarship is offered to toppers of the class top 3 and it is offered alternatively after every two semester.
Campus Life :
There are about 46 clubs and society present in university. Students can be there part based on their interest by giving a simple interview. there is a sport department which has tennis court basket ball court cricket ground football gorunf and racing track. College has its pool too.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel has sudexo mess and the food quality is good. The menu gets change in every 15 days. hostel has many guards and cctv cameras. The laundery and gym is free for every students that stays in hostel. The intime for students is 8:30 pm.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
