Remarks :
This college is considered best commerce college of northeast, many student from different parts of india visit Assam to get admission, it offers various facilities such as sports , good professors and a competitive environment for basic development of social skills,the only demarit I see is student union or student politics it hampers the proper growth of students Gauhati Commerce College offers various co-curricular activities to help students grow beyond academics.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is of 3 years it develops the basic understandings of commerce it helps to get a corporate job , in our college we have gym to workout and take care of our body, Gauhati commerce college offers various facilities Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Master of Commerce (M.Com) Master of Business Administration (MBA) PG Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA)
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My College fee structure is decent since it is a government college,it has many facilities offered in minimum price this college is considered best commerce college in northeast. Assam government give many scholarship such as ishaan uday in ishaan uday the authority provide 54000 rs for every year upto 3 year , our fee structure is 6000 per year approx with additional 1500 charged as registration fee (per semester) in a year it is around 7 to 8 thousands
Campus Life :
The campus is not so good , we face water clogging in our campus during monsoon since it doesn't have proper drainage system, social life is wrecked to few students because of student representatives , no clubbing faculty is available in college, because it lacks modern function it does helps in concentration in college , our college is good enough to develop social skills and there are many alumnis who have secured prominence in many fields, who were once a student of Gauhati commerce college,social life is good but could be better , teachers can take various steps to the betterment of social life

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
