- The academics and faculty in the campus are really great and experienced. They are really enthusiastic about the courses they teach and try to make learning better by keeping the courses more applicationand experimental based.
- The campus is really great and one of the best in India because of iths location in the beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh. Also our campus is inspired from the Japanese architecture.
Dislikes
- The Sports facilities in my campus are not so great. Some sports have great coaches but some are not so good. We have to pay fees for the gym even after paying the gymkhana fees included in hostel/mess fees. Even then, the gym is not properly maintained.
- The college administration does not support student activities that much and fests are also not so great. Instead of providing funds for the fests, they ask for charges for conducting the fests.
Remarks :
I gave JEE advanced to get into my college. There's factors why I chose this college were The serene location of this college Beautiful campus I was getting the course of my choice The college allows you to take 2 bachelor degrees in 5 years in two different fields for example B.Tech in Civil engineering with B.Tech in computer science engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chode my course which is General engineering because it provides an option to study various types of courses for the first two years and then choose a specialization in 3rd year of your choice so that you have a clarity what you exactly want to study. Faculty in the coolege are really great and are experts in their own fields. The evaluation pattern of a course depends on the instructor of the course. But in general we have one Mid Sem exams amd one end sem exams for each course. Some courses also have a lab evaluation.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't yet applied for any internship because I am in 2nd year only. But after hearing from my seniors, I cam say that there are my internship opportunities in my campus, its just that work hard on your skills and grades and you will be good to get an internship. Stipends in internships generally range form ?50k-?100k per month
Placement Experience :
Placement and Job opportunities are great in my college but the thing is that students beed to work really hard for getting placements, have a good CGPA and have nice skillset. It is not like if you are in an IIT then you are getting placed for sure. You need to work hard.

Tution fees per semester:- Above 5lakhs family income General: ?106200 Between 1-5 lakh family income: ?39533 Below 1 lakh family income: ?6200 Hostel/Mess Fees per semester(same for all): ?24960 The fees generally doesn't increase.
Campus Life :
Fests:- 1.) Expecto(Technical feat) 2.) Exodia(Cultural fest) 3.) Rann-Neeti(Sports fest) 4.) Kala(A cultural event in which auction happens for teams and teams compete in the different cultural activities like dance, art, design, acting and drama) The sports facilities include all kinds of sports one would like to play especially cricket, football, badminton, basketball, Squash, Table tennis, Tennis, Swimming, Weightlifting, Athletics etc. The quality of equipments is not good in my college and also there is no synthetic track for athletics due to limited space in mountains. But other indorr sports have properly maintained synthetic courts and grounds.
Hostel Facilities :
It is compulsory to stay in hostels in IIT Mandi. The problem with hostels is that all the students have same hostel/mess fees but some students have a single room while others have a four sharing room due to CGPA criteria which is not a good thing. Mess food is nice compared to other colleges. There are Pure vegetarian mess as well as Non-Veg + Veg mess options also. You can enroll in mess of your choice.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs

The placement opportunities are given by institute. There is a placement committee. A few visited recruiters are ICICI,HDFC, DE Shaw, Deloitte, EY, etc. the average package of IIM sirmaur ranges around 14-15 LPA. All students get placed and is supported by institute.
