I have to choose this college as I didn't get into the top 2 colleges of the state and this was the 3rd option. And the other colleges I was not getting my preferred branches. also ot was much more affordable than any private colleges. No interviews direct admission through JEE Mains.
Course curriculum is little old, new technologies are being implemented now after 2023. Teachers are very friendly and supportive in all cases studies and personal problems. If you get in the good books of faculties or are any position of responding then the college life becomes much easier at igit
No internship opportunities available through college. Students are required to reach out to companies by themselves for internship opportunities. I did my unpaid internship at DRDO banglore through one of the scientist I knew in my family circle. Similarly other students did their internships at NALCo, HAL , DRDO etc unpaid mostly.
Not so great internship options , students are completely on their own for internships. For placement also few good companies recruit every year. Placement percent is around 40% in whole batch. Student coordinators are selected in final year from each branch and mostly they hold the power of reaching out to companies. Teachers are involved but are not so determined in placements.
In 1st semester 50k around to be paid including the caution money and placement fees of 5k. 35k to 40k tution fees to be paid in each odd semester for whole year. In even semester 1600 examination fees to be paid. If you take hostel 42k each year to be paid. For economically weaker students they can opt for Tuition fees waiver which reduces 50% of fees but seats are limited in that. Fees is same for all sections general ,SC/ST
Infrastructure is very bad. Clubs are there but not so prominent except dance and photography club. Technology clubs are not so active. Faculties are not so involved in clubs and are all student organised. You will face difficulties in initiating some new ideas.
Hostel mess is manageable , you can apply for hostel at start of any year. Hostel rooms are good except 2nd year hostels. As you progress in your 4 year course number of students in each room decreases. 1st year - 4 sharing 2nd year - 4 or 3 sharing 3rd year - 2 or 3 sharing 4th year - 1 or 2 sharing Basic amenities like wifi , washing machine are available.
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
