Remarks :

This is a very old and renowned college in Odisha. This is under the government. Students have to get a good score in JEE main for getting this college. There are various branches like Mechanical, electrical, civil, Computer science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Chemical, Metallurgy and material science, Production engineering. The college campus is quite big and things are easily available in the market near the college. It is a small place where relation between your co branch mates is increased due to regular meetups and gatherings. Senior junior relationship is also quite good and ragging is totally prohibited in the college. The only bad thing I don't like is the location of the college it is a bit difficult to access and most people face difficulty in reaching the college.mostly about other branches but in other for chemical engineering I secured a rank of 6-7 lakh in Jee mains. There is no Gd or Pi. There is a normal admission process after you have selected the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had a keen interest in engineering. And among other branches the branch that fascinats me the most is chemicals. Also I brother was a graduate from the same college and the same branch. He has been placed in a most renowned place in the placement. He also influenced me to get a seat in the college. The teachers are mostly friendly but not as friendly in other institutions. They are mostly Phd holder or continuers. after experience most of them become assistant professor. The teaching method in my branch is quite good. Faculties are interactive and supporting. The questions fall in the exam are discussed in the college . Securing a good mark in the exam is quite easy. We have to totally give 8 semesters. Out of which the difficulty level of the odd semesters are little more and the even semesters are quite easy.

Internships Opportunities :

There are many internships offered by the college such as IOCL, IFFCO, JSW, JINDAL, CTTC, RAILWAY, HAAL, NALCO, RSP, BSNL, DRDO, PPL etc. Various internships offered by the college reference is provided by the faculties. The internship letter is generated in the Career Development centre and offered to the companies by the faculty.

Placement Experience :

The eligibility criteria is good cgpa. There are various types of companies come with an intention of taking students with good speaking skills. Placements for Chemical Engineering vary by institute. Top colleges offer good opportunities in core sectors like oil, gas, and pharmaceuticals, as well as non-core areas like IT and analytics. However, if no campus placement is available, I plan to pursue higher studies through GATE or explore roles via off-campus drives. I am also enhancing my skills with certifications in process simulation, data analysis, and programming. Internships and industrial training further boost my employability. I'm open to roles in both core and allied sectors, aiming to build a strong, adaptable career path post-graduation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The year wise fees I'm paying must me around 1 lakh per year. In the first year during the admission I paid Rs 29,500. Along with that the hostel fees was Rs 18500. In the second year, the regular exam form fee was Rs 1700. In the second year I again paid Rs 28,700 as the admission feel then Rs 3500 as the regular exam form fee. And in the 3rd year I have paid Rs 1700 for the exam form fee and the admission fee is yet to be paid. Beside this the hostel feel is Rs 18500 per year. As in the third year we have been shifted to the senior hostel we have to pay Rs 21500 per year. On an average we are paying 4 lakh in total 4 years. This is the fee for the general students. For other students holding quota their fees is little less I don't know on an average but as fee for EWS section they pay 200000 for the total 4 years. There are scholarships like POSTMATRIC offers 20,000 per year. I only get POSTMATRIC because I'm eligible for this scholarship only.

Campus Life :

Campus is the only thing I like about the college. We have an old building were the first year class and the diploma classes are conducted. And an administrative building were all other classes are conducted, it is quite a big building holding 6000 students capacity. We have an auditorium, a library, an academic block, a huge field, an old canteen and cafeteria. Among hostel we have Akash bhawan for First year boys. Rohini for first year and second year girls. Aryabhatta for second year boys. Brahmos and Bhaskar for 3rd year boys and prithvi for 3rd year and 4th year girls. And Surya bhawan for 4th year boys. There is a conduction of SIP program every year for the new comers. And a fest called horizon. Individual branch function for every branch. An annual function called Arohan. And a funfair on 1st April every year.

Hostel Facilities :

I stay in the junior hostel called the Rohini bhawan and this year I'll be shifted to the Senior hostel called Prithvi bhawan. The Rohini bhawan is a beautiful hostel and a place where we learn to survive in the college. The hostel is well furnished the rooms acquire by 6 students each of various branches or the same branch. The maintainance is okay and the superintendent and care taker visits the hostel daily for solving any type of issues faced by the students. The hostel food is manageable and not upto the mark. The quality of the food degrades until the end of the sessions. The menu is changed regularly and the last is not good. The hostel allotment for the girls is provided during the admission and every girl gets a hostel noone is allowed to stay outside hostel. There are also houses on rent for mtech students or other students.

Review ITER

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

Silicon university review

Placement Experience :

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

The Ready College

Placement Experience :

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
