About IIT Mandi
Remarks :
I have cracked JEE advance exam to get selected in an IIT in JoSAA counselling. I have preferred Iit Mandi because of its good ranking. It is among the next top seven IITs. Also, the great weather and the atmosphere of Mandi. Basically, the college is surrounded by mountain trees and the nature which fascinate or attracts me.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Iit Mandi offers a branch change policy, so my branch was changed from Mechanical to mathematics and computing because I was interested in coding and maths. This branch change was based upon the CGPA you received in the first two semesters, there is no bias in branch change policy, but for now the upcoming students, this policy have been removed. The faculty advisor of my branch that is mathematics and computing is very helpful. They help me in sorting out all my clashes in my courses and guide me to take the best courses for my future.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college fees is divided in two parts, the institute fees and the hostel and mess fees ,for a general student The institute fees is 1,06,000 and for other category students, it can vary from 6000 30,000 and also provided scholarships to EWS students, the hostel fee is same for everyone, which is 25,000 approx.
Campus Life :
Along with the beautiful campus, Iit Mandi is full of great minded. People seniors helps juniors a lot. Faculty also helps the children for their future. There are a lot of festivals celebrated in the college to demonstrate the diversity of people from various parts of India. The college also organises some fest like exodia, expecto Raneeti. These are all technical, cultural and sports fest. College also celebrate Janmashtami as one of the huge festival.
Hostel Facilities :
Basically when you get admission in the college. You will receive a hostel which is allotted by the college. Hostel for boys and girls are separated in first year. You get a double sharing room, but in second year on the basis of your CGPA, you might get a single room, double room or triple sharing every hostel have a common bathroom on each floor, and there is a common room for the entire hostel where the guard Sits in the common room. There are lot of facilities available for sports like badminton, chess, and other games in common room, there is a heater which is very useful in winters in hostel. There is a TT table also. Also, there are proper cleaning of washrooms twice in a week.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

I choose ba as I needed a bachelors degree to pursue llb . All the faculty members are highly qualified and well educated and every teacher has their own teaching method. The exams are conducted annually for BA which is not very difficult

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs

The placement opportunities are given by institute. There is a placement committee. A few visited recruiters are ICICI,HDFC, DE Shaw, Deloitte, EY, etc. the average package of IIM sirmaur ranges around 14-15 LPA. All students get placed and is supported by institute.
